Not trying to attack anyone/anything at all here, but are there any differences between this and FlashImageGUI?

I know FlashImageGUI can flash any compatible .img recovery from Android itself. The only thing about that is you have to be on a Sense-based ROM (unless there is a workaround to change your build.prop or something).

Don't get me wrong, this is great work. Would just like to know advantages of this over FlashImageGUI.

Thanks again, root!

This is recovery flashing.
I am not on a Sense rom right now and it works perfectly.
It also works when you are running a Sense rom.
It doesn't matter what rom you are on at all.
It runs in recovery.

So the differences are huge.
Flash Image UI only runs while in the OS.
This runs from recovery even if you have no OS.

@rootlinux, you probably already asked, but just making sure you get the author of PhilZ (@Phil3759) to ok you including of his recovery. He may want to insure downloads come only from his mirrors to accurately track downloads and give him trending. I may too one day, but no worries right now, we can figure it out.

Anyway, one thing to consider is I'll do regular updates to TWRP, and PhilZ also delivers updates. How will you sync this tool?
Adding his was a last minute decision and you are correct I need to get with Phil.
Was doing so much I just forgot.
If he doesn't want his included I will remove and update.

I will keep this updated as soon as updates are available.
:)

Lol it's not a problem, I never got around to updating it so good for you :thumbup:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2274901

I had originally made it for the S3, and then I started expanding to other devices like the S4 and then the One

But anyway, good work!
Dude. I had never seen that neither did OMJ.
I am gonna take a look at it.
We used some code from turge for this one.
Nice work.

I was going to check it out but no links.

@rootlinux , quici little story here. Ive already stated im an advocate of fastboot flashing, that being said, for me i cant restor backups from previous versions of TWRP. Im in the middle of nowhere, no pc to fastboot and i had to restore. Had i not had your recovery flasher on sd i would have been screwed. Just went back to 2630 and voila, all better. Thanks man :)

That is exactly the scenario that gave me the idea to make this. :)
