Does this program have something against AMD CPUs? I cannot get the bootloader unlocked, no matter how many times I try; already have options like USB debugging & OEM unlocking enabled
Craptek has some of the absolute worst drivers out there. I needed 3 computers to make it work and it's all down to the MK drivers. Many people will tell you to use an Intel based computer but inmy case I made it work with a Ryzen 3 PC, as an i3 and an AMD A10 wouldn't do it.
Things tend to work better in Linux but if you have no experience with it, then most probably won't be able to make it work as it is definitely not like Windows (I've been using Linux as my daily for years now and I'm definitely not a beginner so I know what I'm saying).
If I'm not mistaken that unlocking program uses both fastboot and adb, in one of my PCs adb would work but not fastboot, on another it would be the opposite, the official unlock tool only uses fastboot, you can check if your PC would work getting the phone in fastboot and typing on the CMD the command fastboot devices to see if it picks the pho... the brick up.

You'll need system-wide adb and fastboot installed on your PC, there's a guide on that under best topics here at XDA. I haven't tested this method, but waiting a week or two for the absurd Xiaomi unlocker to do its thing is always an option.

Reinstalling the drivers may work, but that's fifty fifty at best. Check Windows update and the optionals update to see if any new driver is pending an installation. Otherwise, better find another PC or even better, another phone altogether.

Overall I'd suggest avoiding anything with a MediaTek SOC if you plan on unlocking, modding or plain just updating Android. And while we are it skipping Xiaomi doesn't sound as a bad idea either.

P.D sorry if I'm seem salty (which 100% I am) but I've already taken enough crap on things like this, so learn from my mistakes and run from certain products / companies or compromise to be a zombie.

Hope any of that was helpful, have a nice day.

That truly seems like the best option in this case. I wanted to unlock the bootloader to install that one custom MIUI ROM, but having spent more than quarter of the day already just to try to get it to work is truly infuriating. My mum got this phone as a deal from her mobile carrier just because of how long we are with them, but seeing how her current phone is alright for what she needs, I managed to get her to give me the 10S as the only thing I truly lack from my previous phone (Galaxy S5) is the AMOLED screen, which my current Redmi Note 7 doesn't have. I want to unlock the bootlaoder just to not have potential ads or randomly installing apps, coming EVEN FROM THE MOBILE CARRIER. If I won't be able to unlock the bootloader in this damn piece of trash, then I am either going to give it back to the store or sell it.

As for adb/fastboot, my PC recognized the phone in both modes each time I probed it, even inside that unlocker tool, but if I want to unlock it, it just fails every single time; kind of starting to think it maybe has something to do with the phone coming from a mobile carrier, not being bought "freely". My next phone definitely will not be a Xiaomi, as the newer models, especially from Redmi line are just unimaginable trash for anyone whom is into installing custom ROMs

Then you'll need to unlock via the official method. Anyway, I'll encourage you to llok around for the actual scene for this phone... Yup almost non-existent, MK SOC + Xiaomi... What did you expected? Almost nothing and generic GSI ROMs. Heck last week this time not even a functional TWRP, haven't bothered looking again, I just asked the owner of the phone (a friend of mine) to either get rid of it or not even tell me again about its existence.

Good luck mate.

I see nothing wrong with this phone honestly, for the price I couldn't get anything remotely close to it here in South Africa on a vodacom contract (albeit I bought this to play PS2 games on like DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Digimon Data Squad which it does perfectly well)

Thanks for being such a ****ing legend and providing us with this nice tool. By the way, if anyone is having trouble, try disabling secure boot from your bios, it won't work with secureboot on. And I managed to unlock it in first go.

Yes of course, it's nice to have more options it's just I don't feel great about this one for some reason.
I've already unlocked my bootloader and to be honest it's gonna be the last I ever unlock from Xiaomi as I'm never choosing them again, at least till they change a lot of things, I'm done with their crap.
