RROS b114: download
from the new - almost nothing, purely cosmetic changes, namely:
* add Lawnchair
* instead of the standard Eleven player - Phonograph
* replaced the icons of some system applications
* built-in busybox (I do not know why I did not do this before)
* lockscreen in the dotOS style

When i try to format sd card as internat memory, my sd card gets damaged and I have to format it on the computer, how to fix this ?
@edit
I make my sd card a Adoptable Storage, but how to move my file from computer to sd? My computer doesnt see sd card, and when i connect my phone with pc on my phone i see one folder wiht 4gb memory,
Hi.
formating sd as internal is tricky
when u format sd as internal u change the file system
this file system is not recognized by windows
another problem is that the data is encoded so that only this phone and only this android can read it
u can say the encryption key is based on the android
so if for any reason u lose ur rom and change it u lose ur data
so think twice and do it with knowledge
as for transferring data use usb cable
and remember to backup often
i personally think it is worth it to format as internal

---
edit:
I wrote this in my partial knowledge
if to anyone's knowledge any part is not true please reply. tnx

whats the different between this rom and AEX? does it worth changing to it?
and do you know any ways to force more performance on this rom, like changing settings or something that i might be not know.
because, i used to play a game called "BangDream!" (its a pretty graphic demanding ryhthm game) and it work perfectly on emui but not on this rom, it get pretty laggy till it make it unplayable.

Adopted storage with a class 10 sd card works for me too. It might be your card.
I had a similar problem with a class 10 sd card that would'nt be formated as adoptable storage. I managed to get it work by setting up adoptable storage through Root Essentials if I remember well. You might want to give it a try ;)
Also, I'm still using this card but didn't need Root Essentials this time. I'm not sure what fixed it in the end, but the last thing I tried was to format it with a GPT partition table and ext4 (I used gparted on my computer). Then no more need for Root essentials. Had to try it several times though
okey thnx man i will try this

Hi,
I've been using this ROM for several months, but now that @ksrt12 has compiled a total of 4 different ROMs (RROS, Slim7, Dotos and AEX), I was wondering the difference between them ? Is there one more stable than the other 3 ? Will they be maintained equally ?
Here's what especially matters to me :
- the most open source centered, the better (I don't want to use Gapps, I would like to try MicroG instead, is there one with which it would work better ?)
- I like the option "Privacy Guard" I have in RROS, but I don't know if it's specific to lineage based ROMS or if this otpion is common to all those ROMS
- adoptable storage working (I see it's the case for all four roms, nice)
- easy phone encryption (again, I guess It's common to almost every single ROMs, but I'm not 100% sure)
The camera isn't working on AEX even with Footej apparently, so I would probably instinctively not go for this one.

Have a nice day :)

Hi. I think(it's a BIG THINK) I know why the YouTube 720p60fps videos laggings.

VP9 codec.

Try another device(if you have)

1. Download YouTube Vanced from XDA and microOG
2.Install and sign in
3. Go to:
Settings-->Vanced settings-->Codec override-->VP9 Codec and turn on
4. Now force close YouTube and open again
5. Play any 720p60fps video ... and you'll see

This is just.... aaaaa hypothesis.... :)

Not working :) not fixed
This is not a fix :)

I thought the videos lagging because the videos has VP9 Codec but this isn't the problem.

Hi, does anyone else have issues with the GPS ? It's not working at all for me.
I thought i fixed it by reflashing the ROM in a "clean way" (I started all the installation over again, from EMUI 4, flashing TWRP and all). It did work yesterday when I did it, but when I powered on my phone this morning, it was not working anymore again ><.

I don't see any reason why, but could it be related to :
-encrypted phone
-privacy guard enabled
-root privileges denied for "kernel adiutur"
-I don't have gapps (but installed MicroG with Nanodroid)
-could it be somehow magically related to another bug that nobody seems to encounter, being unable to set 'device administrators' ??

Any help would be great :) (that's pretty annoying ><)

I noticed that with the last update (b101), apps can't find my location even with the right autorisations and GPS enabled. I'm running rros without gapps by the way. Does anyone has the same issue?
I tried to install unifiednlp from f-droid but it didn't work out of the box. I will tried to install it as a system app via adb when I have time, do you think it could help? :)

EDIT: I finally successfully installed unifiednlp, but the GPS still doesn't work properly (localization over wifi works but totally lacks accuracy, so it is not really usable...). Strangely enough, the gps worked fine on previous version of the rom (b95 I think).
Any help would be great
Hi,
About the not working GPS, I tried to fix it with "GPS status & toolbox", I tried "GPS Test", I turned off Power saving mode, I turned off "battery optimizer" in the apps settings (in French "optimisation de la batterie" not sure how it was really translated from english) for the gps app, unifiednlp ...
But still, only the localization through wifi and data works (through unifiednlp, since I don't have Gapps installed) but it's really not accurate enough (especially in the countryside where there is no wifi signal...)
Has anybody any idea how to fix this ?
(I'd like to avoid flashing the rom again, since I had some trouble formating my sd-card as adoptable storage, and, now that it works and that my data is enciphered, I don't really want to do all the process all over again, if possible ;) )

By the way, does the weather service works for anybody ? I can't even enter a location manually, even once I've installed and configured "OpenWeatherMap" from lineage website.
