[RS988][ROM][UNOFFICIAL] Resurrection Remix v6.2.1 [1/13/19]

I decided to make an updated build while I did other work, since it's fairly automated, but I just realized that I didn't make a thread for my first build because I didn't have time. I still don't have time, so here's a very quick thread to document progress:

Your warranty is now void.

I am neither responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
thermonuclear war, nor you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
before flashing it! You alone are choosing to make these modifications.

If you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I won't laugh at you, but I'll try to work with you to fix it.

I am happy to introduce Resurrection Remix v6.0.0 Oreo to the RS988. Most working/not working things will be the same as LineageOS. Many thanks to @Ascii3 for diligently getting the word out before I even made a thread!

Downloads:

For Google Play Store and other Google apps, install a GApps package from opengapps.org. Choose ARM64 for the platform and the correct version of Android (likely 8.1).

You will need the latest version of TWRP (link) to install both this ROM and any other .zip packages.

Yes, sadly. When LG comes out with Oreo for us, issues like this should go away, I'd think.

I just flashed this on my g5, I have an issue where when RR boots for the first time, it freezes on the first setup screen, making it impossible for me to push "next". After staying frozen for 5 seconds, it reboots and does it again. What makes it more confusing is that your unoffical Lineage build for 8.1 works flawlessly.

Heh. I was just coming back here to report on another boot issue. Does the time go whack when you initially boot the device? I finally decided to post about it.

I'll do a clean flash and see what you're talking about Did you do a clean flash (if coming from LOS 15.1) and install GAPPS?

EDIT: Did clean flash without GAPPS and found no problems with setup...

Yeah, I installed your test twrp since I saw that too, then did a complete wipe, flashed RR, GAPPS, and Magisk. After it refused to setup, I just wiped, and flashed LOS which setup without issue.

I flashed the verified RR without anything more. This time it just black screens right after the boot animation. After installing GAPPS, it makes it to the frozen setup screen.
