I've had mine for about 3 weeks. At first it was a nice compromise of protection and slim/fit in docks function.

Now, it is loose and stretched out. The part that goes around the usb/hdmi ports is gone.

Total piece of crap.
Motorola you can do a lot better.

Back to my Seidio Surface, it fits the lapdock and is easily removed for car dock.
Mine isn't stretched out. Maybe it's because I don't play with it. It's been months and still holding up great.

Mine had been working fine, but today i took the case off because I wanted to do a battery pull and reinsert while still connected to the AC charger. I loosely fitted the case back on the phone, with the usb cable on the "outside". I must have pushed a little hard because the thin strap of rubbery plastic near the usb port opening has now split, and is about to fully rip. :(

I may order another one, assuming there is still stock left.

Are there anyone who has gotten rid of the rugged case and still have the standard dock plate? I have a hard time getting Motorola to send me one so I would really appreciate it if someone can spare one.

I'm assuming there is also one for the lapdock? Or is removing the plate all that is needed?

So I ordered another blue case from cnn. As I mentioned before, my current case has a split near the usb port, and I wanted to have a backup for when the case finally breaks completely.

Anyway I received it today, and the first thing I noticed is that the new one feels quite different than the old one. The old one has more "texture". The new one is very smooth. The flexibility seems about the same. However, the new one looks more like a knockoff, as it's missing the speaker grill and the Motorola sticker on the inside.

Im wondering if the Chinese factory continued to produce their own version after Moto pulled the plug...

I received mine couple days ago and it had the moto sticker and speaker grill, seems like they sent you a defected one.

"a defected one"

CNN Newsflash: "Counterfeit Motorola Phone Cover Defects from Communist China, Ships Self to US Phone Owner Seeking Asylum!"

If Moto says they don't make them and some guy in a factory in a region known for counterfeits say "No, genuine! No, genuine!" for two bucks who you gonna believe? <G>

What color sticker do you want with that? Wait, I'll have some printed up for you as soon as they finish the Nike labels. Did you want black and white, or something prettier in a hologram?

I ordered this cover back in July, anticipating my phone upgrade to an Atrix this month... bought the Atrix today, but was horrified that the cover didn't fit, forgetting completely that it was a battery cover! It's perfect, now wonder if I should get a spare. Great find and thanks!

I recently purchased a blue one a pink one and the normal cover (in case i want to return the phone) and only 1 out of my 3 has a speaker grill. But i expected these cases to be more rugged lol as they are smooth just a different material is used but overall i like the battery cover and makes the phone more usuable imo.

Just got the blue one. All I wanted was some grippy-ness without a bulky case and so far it's doing the trick. The sides have potential to wear out, but I like it enough to order a few more and just deal with the attrition.

Just got mine yesterday. It took 30 days from the time of order to finally receive it. That's a long time! But I really like it -- fits great in the cardock too.

I know people like the green more than the blue due to the material feel in the back, but what about the pink one?

is this better than the REARTH Ringke one?

I skipped the pink one just because I'm not a fan of the color, but the green and the blue work just fine... :)

hi.

just picked thgis phone up. traded it for my defy. quite strange really that the defy has by a country mile the better build quality. i have the tmobile version in the uk and the back battery cover is a horrible glossy plastic thing that slips and slides about everywhere. bit of a shock really as i have for the last few years owned a phone that has a rubber type casing ie the desire blade and defy. so i really want to replace it with a rubber backed battery cover. i dont want a case i want only a rubber battery cover and from what i have seen this is perfect.

heres the problem. for the life of me and i have searched high and low... i cant find it in stock anywhere in the world. i am located in london but am willing to order it from any place but i cant find any stock. the only seller i found on ebay wouldnt ship to the uk for some mad reason and the place i found in the internet wanted me to register before it would display the price needless to say i passed.

so can anyone point me in the direction of a store that has stock? or failing that anyone got one they want to sell?

please help me out if you can cos if i cant find one then the phone is gonna have to go i really find it that bad. if i can get one then i reckon this phone for the time being will be a keeper cos apart from that its all good (or will be once i have roioted it unlocked the bootloader and stuck on cm7).

cheers

The only place to buy this item is here:

Great seller, who is located in China. Been buying from them for years. Check out the earlier posts for additional feedback on them.

hi thanks i have seen that store but i dont see the rubber battery cover. in stead they have a rubber case. i dont think that is the same as the rubber battery cover is it?

http://cnn.cn/shop/motorola-mb860-atrix-blue-silicone-case-p-11666.html

Motorola MB860 Atrix 4G OEM Blue silicone case

edit: my bad ok sorry have read a bit more of the thread now. quick question though does it come with the speaker grill or do i need to buy it separately?

hmm having read nearly all this thread this cover doesnt seem to be the fabled holy grail i was seeking. oh well back to the shop to trade the shiny pile of stinking pony for a good ol rugged solid defy. weird how one company can make two phones that are so poles apart in terms of the build quality. guess thats motorola for you. oh well live and learn.
