nobody still doesnt have this case in stock, if they say they do, they are lying
I just bought a Seidio case for this, will probably make my own car dock. There are rumoured not to fit the M one. I might have a slightly used car dock for sale soon, maybe with maching case if the one I bought shows up soon....
M could take the profit from ONE way overpriced laptop dock and make a few hundred of these cases. I'm guessing it's a regular battery cover with a thin (but extended) silicon case attached to it.

As of today I have canceled my order with 123cellsupply.com. About a week and a half ago my order there was changed to status "Awaiting shipment". This was a few days after inquiring when they would ship out (and being told "in a day or two"). Anyway, I asked what this status meant and never heard back from them. All I was looking for was a quick "Sorry, Motorola still hasn't released them", but instead I got a cold shoulder. After multiple attempts to call them on the phone during their stated business hours and getting messages saying they were closed for the day (not even with the opportunity to leave my own message), I tried to email them again through their web form to cancel my order.
I'd recommend you stay away from them. In fact, I wouldn't even bother trying to order them until they appear on M's website, or until Amazon says they ship within 24 hours (and not from an affiliate).
I'm thinking now that these covers might just be vaporware.
Yeah, I'm just going to wait for them to start showing up in AT&T stores then I know they're the real deal.
My pre order now say 5/16. I already ordered the Seidio case. They make GREAT cases. I'll have to alter the M dock, or make one to fit this case.
Guys, it might be time to move on from this case.....

Cnn in .cn has these. I've bought many parts from them over the years. Being in China they are a very well connected supplier. Also, they have some excellent pictures of it. Interestingly, it covers all four sides with a bumper style appearence, including covering the volume rocker. Let's see how it fits with all the other stock Moto products.
This is a direct replacement for the cover that is on the phone - that is why we are all excited by it. No additional bulk, just remove your existing battery cover/back and put one of these on.

Apparently I have to do a few more posts before I can put links to images. Anyway, the immages on cnn are the closest you'll get to handling one of these things.

i didnt realized this cover goes over the sides as well. how is this different from a tpu or silicone shell? so do you put this over the stock battery cover like a tpu case or it really replaces it? also is there a lip over the screen so you can put the phone face down on a table?

This does replace the stock cover as indicated by the pictures shown inside the back cover 1... and 2... the lip is something I was also wondering about. Hard to tell. Notice the visibility of the headphone jack. It's barely visible so it implies that there is an element of wrap around the face. I think that those of us that manage to get one will enjoy it and other than making your own will find that it's the smallest rigid cover out there.

I just ordered one from "cnn". I'll cancel my other order for the same product. This has become some kind of game. I WILL have my Seidio case in a week. I'll start making a car dock for that case in the next few days.
Why are there multple expensive docks available, but NO cases that work with them? This is almost as stupid as buying an Apple product....

The official Moto car dock comes with two inserts to accommodate the official rubberized battery cover. Plus it ads a car dock interface for extra large buttons (6 per screen). Also adds single wire charging and audio delivery. I.e. very well designed product and worth the expense. In the next week we'll know if cnn can deliver. They are pretty good and detail oriented on advertising what they can deliver. They also respond to special requests and will add product and parts if you request.
