running custom rom and keep losing root

I'm running bootleggers ROM and have rooted with magisk. What's happening is about a day after flashing magical in twrp I seem to be losing root and have to reflash.

Anyone else experiencing this or have a solution to fix it??

When you first installed twrp did you allow modifications? Or did you keep system read only? Today's andriod tries to "fix" things if you kept it read only.

I'm pretty sure that I did. Any harm in reflashing it to make sure I allow for modifications
