I have been searching for this RUU all over the net and xda but no use...can someone please help me with this RUU...was this released in the first place itself...

THanks for the suggestion...that was actually my plan B...but, should I want to get an update via HTC all I need is the stock boot.img and recovery.img...rite?? There's no need to relock the bootloader isn't it...pls advice

No you do not have to relock the bootloader ! You need stock rom, kernel and recovery :thumbup:
