OP updated w/ 3.05.651.6 RUUs...
Hey OMJ,OP updated w/ 3.05.651.6 RUUs...
O.M.J's re-upped file flashes like a champ -- just it over lunch break and no probs with recover (PhilZ for me) or ROM.Hey OMJ,
You need to fix the link since it has some html code in it. Correct link is:
http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_..._NV_SPCS_4.38_003_release_348053_signed_2.exe
Thanks for the heads up!
Just flashed 3.05.651.6 s-off firmware as well...so far so good.O.M.J's re-upped file flashes like a champ -- just it over lunch break and no probs with recover (PhilZ for me) or ROM.
Yes you can but if you have the radio from the Dec OTA this is the same radio 1.00.20.1108can i just flash the radio???? or do i need the firmware and stuff to use it?
since you're s-on, I believe you will need to lock first, then you can run the RUUI post this in the other RUU thread but this one is newer so maybe I someone who knows will see. I'm wondering if it's safe to following the instructions in the original thread if my phones bootloader says this -
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
***TAMPERED***
***UNLOCKED***
M7_WLS PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.55.0000
RADIO-1.00.20.0913_3
OS-3.04.651.2
eMMC-boot 2048 MB
Sep 18 2013, 15:46:04.0
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks again for the RUU and I hope someone can give me a confirmation!
since you're s-on, I believe you will need to lock first, then you can run the RUU
using fastboot, type this cmd: fastboot oem lock this will relock the bootloader
Ok so I tried using the fastboot oem lock and this is what happened ~You sir are the man, thank you very much - gonna give it a go right now.
You are now locked and the RUU will complete successfully. Reboot the phone normally to the home screen, connect your USB cable, optionally verify your connection with "adb devices", run the RUU and follow the directions.Does that mean I should reboot from the bootloader and just go to my homescreen? Will this be a problem if my bootloader is now locked?
Thanks!
Because you are S-ON you can't flash firmware alone unless it is a signed package from HTC. If you go back to stock recovery and ROM you can take the OTA for Kit Kat, or just flash stock recovery and run the RUU. Both options will require you to lock the bootloader first.Sorry for the noob question not sure where to ask it but if im s -on does that mean I can't flash new radios specially with kit Kat update coming soon I have latest radio and firmware because I unlocked after latest update but was not once kit Kat update rolls out with new radios and firmware not sure if I was going to be stuck because I'm s -on

Thanks for the input I don't know how to go s-off so hopefully there will be a way I'm assuming I won't be able to run kit Kat roms without updating radios or firmwareYou are now locked and the RUU will complete successfully. If you don't want to do all that, you can wait for a developer to come out with a Kit Kat ROM, but it will not include a firmware update.
You may be able to flash the firmware update if extracted (firmware.zip) from the OTA, not sure because I am S-OFF and don't have to deal with any of this.
I also understand that you may be able to flash an extracted radio image individually via fastboot, but this will not include all the other partitions that will get updated for Kit Kat.
I think BD sent you a PM about going s-off. Follow his instructions and your in good handsThanks for the input I don't know how to go s-off so hopefully there will be a way I'm assuming I won't be able to run kit Kat roms without updating radios or firmware
