A quick rundown before I ask for help.
I just got an Sprint HTC One from my wife after she upgraded. She had unlocked and rooted her phone when she first got it, and hadn't done anything since. It was stuck on the initial firmware with no way to receive OTA updates.
When I got it I installed CM12 lollipop. Everything was good except for data, sms and phone calls. I updated the radio but no dice. Someone told me I needed to update the firmware which sent me down a rabbit hole.
I relocked the phone and tried to put the newest firmware on it (both through RUU and fastboot) It didn't work, and I thought I screwed up bad, stuck in boot loops, etc... I finally figured it out and updated to this firmware, then installed this deodexed rom.
Mybootloader was still unlocked, and I remember reading that it needed to be relocked in order to get the OTA update. When I relock it, I can't boot into the rom. If I then unlock it again, I boot up fine.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to get a rom installed that will allow me to update to the newest firmware OTA, or help me understand why the newest firmware won't go through when I use RUU or fastboot? I would really appreciate all your help.
