Correct, while the emmc is 16 gig there are like 42 partitions on that chip. 2.6 gig is allocated to the system the rest is the boot, radio, etc... What's left over is then allocated to the data partition. So there is about 6 gig taken up on every m8. I have a 32 gig
Lesson learned......do not flash your Canadian phone with the following values with this ROM....phone is bricked
Not quite, I have the exact same device.. Telus. I have gone back and forth between GPE and Sense as a full firmware conversion more than once with no issues. Follow the instructions on the first page. You need to have both adb and fastboot installed as well as the HTC device drivers. Changing to cidnum 11111111 is fine and you don't have to do anything with the midnum, leave that alone. You can recover from this brick if the bootloader comes up and you have a RUU.
Hi there, I am new to HTC phones and have only been using Samsung and LG phones since 2010. What do you mean by the RUU? Because it looks like the HTC website has no RUUs for our phone.
RUU is like a factory image. Read the very first post of this thread; it has info on how to convert a non-GPE device to a GPE device using that RUU (and CID change). There's also a section on reverting to a stock Sense rom via RUU.
I undestood what RUU meant, but I meant where do we get an official Sense RUU for our phone?
Ok so there is no RUU for your Telus M8... Did you do the GPE conversion? If so, at some point I hope you had made a backup with TWRP before you did the conversion. If you did not all hope is not lost. If you didn't do the GPE conversion and you just flashed the ROM then all you'll need to do is restore a TWRP backup. Below is a link to one.
1. Download this firmware package https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24399994186368791
2. If you didn't make a TWRP backup download this backup. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24399994186369161
Now your going to follow the direction in the OP for Returning to Sense after GPE conversion.
In step 15 instead of flashing a ROM or RUU your going to restore that TWRP back up. You'll extract that twrp backup zip onto your sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/XXXXXXXXX "the XXXXXXXXX is the serial number of you M8"
If you need more help getting back to stock then this thread should be of some value to you. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2694297
I haven't missed not having a Telus RUU.. the DevEdition RUU works fine, no issues. It's fine. I don't think there is much if any difference between 6.12 and 6.13 firmware. It's great to see enewman17 post a link to the firmware and a stock backup, thanks! It was new to me, so nice to have more options. Now Hidden Username has many choices. Thanks for the extended reply. I did not convert to GPE as I found out just flashing the ROM works perfectly fine. I did do that process earlier that you stated, but that really stinks that we have no RUU.

Did someone find solution to useless boomsound toggle that doesn't affect on sound?
Thanks for a reply. I flashed marshmallow RUU , that's all. Is it supposed to change sense firmware by gpe firmware? Or I need to flash gpe firmware separately? I have Bose headphones. I could clearly feel the change before conversion , thus headphones are not the issue.Well... depending on your headphones the change is subtle. If your on Sense firmware that could be your issue and you probably need the adsp.img from GPe for it to work properly. I've been converted to GPe for a long time and boomsound works just fine.

Wow! Thank you! I am just floored by the generosity of everyone.. I really really appreciate it! Thank you! Sometimes when I read my threads an see all the complaints I think "why do I do this?" you guys have made me see why I do it. I don't do it for the credit.. I don't do for any other reason but for the community. Some people do it for recognition, some do it for the donations.. I love looking at my server stats and seeing the number of downloads.. That's my thing.. Knowing that something you have worked on has been downloaded tens of thousands of times by people from all over the world.. That's an awesome feeling... When I look at my Google analytics and see that there are visitors from pretty much every country and every continent it's awesome. That and knowing I helped the community is why I do it. Thank you! Thanks ... You're a saviour
