Phone is S-OFF and has the 4.13.651.4 RUU installed on it. I am trying to downgrade to stock because I can't get the phone to stop doing the "Preparing SIM card" message.

I tried using the VipeRUU process and after pressing "1" for option 1, it gets stuck at Flashing... with the black screen, gray HTC logo with no green progress bar.

Any ideas?

I think it has to do with "USB Device Not Recognized" because the second fastboot flash can't go through now...after flashing the firmware.

Yes, the problem was that I was having a driver issue. I ran it on Windows 7 and it worked. I just ran the same commands that were in the batch file to find out where the problem was.

Also, when I did get it to flash, it got stuck in a reboot loop. The Android OS would load to the home screen but then it would reboot, and keep looping. So I upgraded it with another RUU to the next later version before the new partition layout. I got it to activate, but data does not work.

ROM.zip Flash Successful!

I have relocked my bootloader, run vipeRUU and everything processes smoothly. However there is no green progress bar on the phone, and the utility says "ROM.zip flash successful". I have done this 6 times now. I even re-unlocked bootloader, and rooted once. Now I'm with a locked bootloader, and rooted (TAMPERED, RELOCKED in HBOOT). Any ideas so that I can take my phone to Sprint for repair?

I was able to get back to stock (locked, s-on) using the info in this thread. It took a while to read and prepare, but it worked great for me.
