I flashed the latest FXP211, but after rebooted I got an update from "CM updater" immediately...(cm-9.1.0-nozomi)
I thought the 211 is the latest one?
And when I updated it; it entered CWM and got installation aborted.
What kind of situation is it...??

If i'm not saying bull****
CM-9.1.0-nozomi from CM Update is a stable version of CM9.1 for our nozomi build by cyanogenmod team
while cm9.1 FXP2XX build is some sort of nightlies / unofficial build by FXP team where they add recent cm9.1 changes, and fix / add feature related with Xperia phone
and if you take a deeper look at the changes here - https://sites.google.com/site/projectfreexperia/download/progress - for cm9.1, you'll see that our nozomi didn't get specific changes since long time (the last one is before FXP 145)

ps: sorry for bad english

Thanks for the explanation; I'm newbie to CM series (just unlocked my phone this morning!) so not very understand it...but thanks anyway mate.:highfive:
And I flashed to CM10 already haha
By the way...may I ask that if there's already CM10 and almost bug free; what's the reason that you guys still stay on CM9?
Thanks;)) :highfive:

I'm on CM10, and I found that it's bugfree, if you don't mind about FM radio

I used cm10 for a few weeks but found cm9.1 better due to battery life.. Cpu would idle and run cooler by up to 10 degrees. Currently on pac rom 4.2.2 but yeah haven't found a rom as smooth and efficient as cm9.1

Tried hdmi last week on this Rom didn't work...

Sent from my Xperia S using xda app-developers app

Sorry for keep asking noob questions but I still don't really get it-
Why do I get a new version notice right after I flashed FXP211?
If FXP211 is not the latest version for nozomi, then where should we download the latest Rom?
What's the really differences between cm9 and cm9.1...I mean, what it really is that we download from this thread...? I thought this thread give us the latest information...
After downloaded the update from cm updater, it says that if I want to flash it, I have to have the "appropriate cwm" or I have to install it manually. And it turns out that the flashing got aborted. Does that mean my cwm isn't appropriate...?
So in the end I flash it by direct the cwm into cmupdater folder and flashed it. But after that, I met some fc- can't open play store and rom manager, etc.
Got really messed by the situation...any suggestion and help is great appreciated. Thanks:highfive:

I wonder why on some devices, AOSP ROMs and stock ROMs can share the same kernels...? (especially when talking about dual- or more- boot...)
For example, on my tablet I can run Debian, Angstrom (linux distros), ICS, GB and Froyo... All on the same kernel...

i really don't think that debian and other linux distros shares kernel with android..

No, really, it's true!
You can only run one kernel at a time on the Gen8 A101IT...
So, if I have different android and linux versions and distros, they all run on the same kernel...
This is WAY offtopic :p

I figured out how to use the nice app Illumination Bar Notification (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rundgong.illuminationcontrol) to get notification lights by the illumination bar. This app won't work without modifications in fxp/cyanogenmod as of the missing libraries.

I extracted the needed parts out of another custom rom and the stock rom, and made them compatible.

How to install:

1. uninstall the app if installed

2. copy files
adb push lights.semc.so /system/lib/hw/
adb push libLightsJni.so /system/lib/
adb push com.sonyericsson.illumination.jar /system/framework/
adb push SemcIllumination.apk /system/app/

3. reinstall the app form market, or by
adb install com.rundgong.illuminationcontrol.apk

Stable version will come when Sony releases 3.x kernel sources. Until this happens we have freezed the code. Many things are already fixed in background but without phone functions its no need to run the rom.
After the copyleft is out we can fix modem and then we resume this ROM.
