Does anyone use this combination? I'm using a Huewai smart watch and it tracks my steps but only through google fit since it cant use s health. I'd rather use Google fit and it tracks everything fine ... but it just won't sync my steps with the Virgin Pulse app. It will sync if I use s health but I dont always have my phone on me, so I use the watch.

Anyone?

So, I too use Virgin Pulse. And what I see so far is that SHealth only syncs the phones steps to Virgin Pulse. It won't sync any other devices. Virgin Pulse on the Note 7 doesn't even give an option to sync with Google fit for me.

I am pretty sure this means that your watch won't sync to Virgin Pulse via your phone, since it won't allow you to connect Fit to Virgin Pulse. Unless your watch steps show up in S Health. There are a lot of weird idiosyncrasies I find with this stuff. I had been wearing a fitbit on my other wrist, because it at least just worked without any hoops. But it is on it's way to dead again, and it is my third one, so I am not buying another one. I have found a way or 2 to get my Pebble to sync steps, but it is drastically less than the fitbit or my phone on s health, like 2-3000 per day less. If you come up with a way, please let me know.

I have the same issue and its annoying as hell. This worked fine on my nexus 6p but on the galaxy s8 it made me sync with shealth and now won't sync the steps with my watch. FML

Virgin Pulse confirmed for me that their app cannot sync to Google Fit on Samsung phones due to a "default setting" on Samsung devices.
