How close are you to complete stock with root?
What version android are you,
4.4.2?= Sunshine should've worked
4.4.3?= Sunshine should've worked
4.4.4?= Sunshine not at this time/won't work.

I just gained su permission via HTCDev unlock and flashed recovery and installed su and xposed nothing else.

Sunshine says failed

Sorry pal, but you just have to wait until sunshine 3.0 comes out, which adds compatibility for more devices.
