Short story: Friend tried to unroot, messed up and now can't get into anything but bootloader or recovery. So normal 'sideload' rom in TWRP does not go through since he has s-on.

So question is, can you s off in fastboot ?

thanks

As far as i know sideload is a recovery feature and not related to s-on/s-off.

If you can get it into the recovery why don't you just reflash a rom ?

It fails, tried different ROMs and USB port so I assumed it was because S-ON

You have a rom on the phone you can flash ? You manually wiped everything before flashing the rom ?

And for safety flash the boot.img from the rom via fastboot since you are s-on !

adb sideload doesn't work in TWRP but you can use adb push instead to push the ROM to the phone
