If you follow the instructions, it works flawlessly. I've been wanting to s-off for a while and the dirty racoon/facepalm stuff was just too much for me to feel comfortable doing. But this took me back to my days with the og, one click s-off.

Nice work!

Woot! I just got S-Off! Thanks guys for all the hard work!!!
There is one problem I seem to be running into though after getting s-off... My phone was activated under my Sprint network, and now it's not. It's also not Updating the profile or PRL, so I can't access my network at all currently and I'm a little unsure of what to do. Any help would be much obliged.
Thanks again for the awesome s-off though! :)

EDIT: Just restarted my phone and it activated successfully. Sorry for the annoying question, I'm used to flashing and modifying all sorts of things on my previous phone and my tablet, but the whole s-off business just had me all sortsa scared. Thanks again team!

Call Sprint and have them re-provision your phone.

[Q] is all the dots good or bad?
I'm getting to Test 3 and I'm just getting dots.. adb / fastboot works fine for everything else (kernel flashes etc..) I'm running stock rooted 3.16 rom.. I don't see HTC Sync listed in my control panel to uninstall so I don't think that's the problem... Anyone have any advice?

The dots aren't good, I didn't even have the dots on my successful round of moonshine. I did have the same issue with my moonshine the first time and fixed it by temporarily disabling avg. You're safe to close the command prompt (I was any way) and rebooting your phone during the dots.

Yea it says don't touch your phone but you'll have to pull the drop menu down and take it off the sync and put it on disk drive it worked for me but it took me long enough do that :D

Welcome to moonshine S-OFF. Enjoy.

Important windows notes:

1.) make sure htc sync is uninstalled
2.) make sure adb and fastboot drivers are working
3.) make sure htc sync is uninstalled
4.) if you are having problems with fastboot, try a usb 2.0 port.
5.) make sure htc sync is uninstalled
6.) make sure other programs that interfere with and fastboot are uninstalled (PDANet, Kies, etc.)
7.) make sure htc sync is uninstalled
8.) if you use a third party firewall, be sure to grant access to distiller.exe as it checks for updates
9.) MAKE SURE HTC SYNC IS UNINSTALLED
10.) YOU MUST UNZIP THE ARCHIVE BEFORE RUNNING DISTILLER. DO NOT JUST TRY TO RUN IT FROM THE ARCHIVE.

I am in the same boat and have tried two different cables and 3 different USB 2.0 ports. Can someone post a copy of a successful screenshot so we know what to expect if it starts working? I'd like to add that I definitely do not have HTC Sync installed and the HTC drivers do show under my program features program list. Thanks.

**UPDATE**

I restored the backup of my stock rooted phone data, and tried multiple cables and ports yet again to no avail. I give up for now.

I remember that on my successful run, I removed all other phone drivers but the evo's and I temporarily disabled avg and it worked flawlessly. I had no issue with using USB 3 port as well. There were no continuous dots at all on my successful run, right after test 3, it rebooted, waited for adb, and said moonshining(1)... And after a few moonshines, you're s-offed and done.

Has anybody run this while running MeanBean?
I'll run the RUU if need be, but if I can do this as is running MeanBean, then I will..

I'm HTC Unlocked and (obviously) rooted, etc, just still S-On..

Thanks a lot!!

Yes, dots means restart everything. Restart phone, restart PC, disable firewall etc. Looks like something gets disconnected during process.

Test 1, 2 & 3 all passed without error. Got the error "Don't drink and shine" during the Moonshining process. Process moonshined roughly ten times.

So far, no luck:mad:
