Yes you must be unlocked first, unless you have the droid DNA, in the steps it says this:can someone please help me?
i cannot get past test 2 where it says rebooting..it doesnt reboot. should i manually reboot in fastboot?
edit: do i have to be HTC Dev unlocked?
You have to flash one, I use twrp.is a custom recovery installed or do i flash one?
I can confirm this works with viper, I did it without any probs. Maybe a fresh flash and another attempt...?viper 4g rom taking to long to boot back up, cant get to the pull down screen in time to change the usb setting ><
You are good now though after using a 2.0 USB right?Test 1, 2 & 3 all passed without error. Got the error "Don't drink and shine" during the Moonshining process. Process moonshined roughly ten times.
So far, no luck

Correct. I thought I was using a 2.0 port to begin with but it turns out that it was a 3.0 port. The 2.0 port on my laptop wasn't working correctly so I ended up using a friend's laptop to get it done. I did not have the Android SDK installed. You are good now though after using a 2.0 USB right?
Idk, i just followed all the instructions, and ran the tool and it just booted up like normal. Also remember when u wipe cache/delvik cache, your phone takes longer to bootup.the guys that got moonshine to work with viper rom, how did you get your phone to boot up fast enough? i went to the extreme of wiping everything flashing fresh install doing a custom install no demons no sense removing all apps and choosing nova launcher and it still does not boot fast enough
I'm having the same problems on a few ROMs.I keep getting ADB connection failed, but I know ADB works because I tried a few commands. I am running MeanBean rom and have removed HTC Sync from my computer. (although my phone defaults to HTC Sync Manager mode and not Disk Drive).
Any suggestions...
