Well okay then hboot is good just go back to the stock ROM .8 should do it because its 4.1 you can't run it on 4.2 good luck.T-mobile running ViperOne 2.1 and I the bootloader says the date is may 3 2013. I never ran any updates on the phone because i know that usually kills exploits.
You have to downgrade because the exploit has been cover up. So go to rootzwiki forum and look for the downgrade method for T-Mobile thread.I updated my T-Mobile htc one to firmware .11 frm .8, can I still get s-off using this method? Thanks

Only if you have a recent update... in which case you are currently not going to achieve S-OFF. The easiest way to tell without going into the bootloader is to run revone... it will segmentation fault if Motochopper fails. Even worse, if it seg faults, you can't currently use revone. Even if you go through HTC Dev and get your code, you will most likely get error -6. An update is coming for the 1.44 patched hboots... 1.54 hboots will be waiting awhile because they are encrypted.

This model isn't like other models. S-OFF is not achieved through radio... there is no ENG S-OFF, radio S-OFF, etc required anymore.
S-OFF is achieved through an hboot hack... and even beyond that, if you are willing to go through HTCDev, you have a lot more freedom with S-ON and an unlocked bootloader than you did before.
You still need S-OFF for certain functions but HTC has let a bootloader unlock give you everything S-OFF would do ... except for a few key points. You can't gain SuperCID and you can't cover your tracks... Nor can you flash firmware that isn't signed for your device or modify your MID...
If you just want to flash ROMs or radios, you can do so with S-ON... If you want further control, you need S-OFF.
Yes, you need S-OFF to flash splash screens; it resides in mmcblk0p13 which can only accessed through the "dd" command or RUUed with an image name of "splash1.nb0".The only reason I believe I need S-OFF is to flash custom boot splash screens. Is this correct? If not, I'm perfectly happy with S-ON.
No your good since you didn't OTA you didn't update the hboot but running a 4.1rom usually stock is recommended.so i have to downgrade to .8 and then s off from the stock os?
Hahaha... That is what I call a guide! :highfive: Point 10 is my favorite!OMFG!
Seriously people. How can so many of you not read!! Let me make this more obvious for everyone that can't be bothered to read before posting that they can't S-Off for whatever reason.
You should/can only use revone to S-Off if;-
1. You are on or flash a STOCK Sense 5, Android 4.1 ROM
2. Have an old un-patched 1.44 HBoot or If on T-Mob or AT&T and on Patched 1.44 HBoot You can Downgrade using one of the easy to find guides provided
3. Use the up to date 0.2.1 revone (the older ones give false successes)
4. Are Rooted (Not necessary but seems to improve chances of success)
5. Are not using a 4.2 ROM
6. Are not using a GE ROM
7. Are not on HBoot 1.54
8. Are not on HBoot 1.54
9. ARE NOT ON HBOOT 1.54
10. Are not an Idiot!
Some of these may not apply but if you want to garuntee revone working then you should follow these rules! Also in addition to this. READ THE OP and POST 2! They are your revone bible and will tell you what to do.

Also Added: Do not even come out with excuses that there is too many pages to read.!!! Yes, because people like you keep posting the same question over and over without reading it first. So it'd made the thread got this many pages.OMFG!

Notes on Error codes (from my experience, and what I've read!);-
Error Code -1 = Potentially you need to try a different ROM or it could just be random and after a few tries and reboots it might work. A few people have reported that rebooting and useing -p rather than -P has worked but I'm not convinced as -p isn't built as a command but you're free to try whatever you wish.
Error Code -2 = I've seen people report this but revone has actually worked so should you see this try and reboot and carry on, if not then try changing ROMs and try again.
Error Code -6 = More then likely you're on either a patched or a 1.54 HBoot and you're not going to be able to S-Off. If you reboot to bootloader and you're on 1.44 then you might be able to downgrade using one of the guides on xda. Xboarder's guide on rootzwiki for TMob is a good one.
Error Code 1 = I've had this myself and this basically means it's not ever going to work. I think it's a variant on the -6 Error. If you see this, you're out of luck IMO.
LOL Cheers. That's also very true..... I am getting so annoyed reading peoples questions on here though. I'm getting this error, that error, will this work for hboot 1.54, i'm on 1.44 but getting error code -6. It's like, can you really not do any research yourself? You're really trying to S-Off your phone when you either don't know enough about your phone to be doing such a thing in the first place or can't even use Google search to find answers for yourself?!Hahaha... That is what I call a guide! :highfive: Point 10 is my favorite!
But there is a paradox in it... An idiot would hardly recognize self as one.![]()
So true! The search function works well, so does google! I found xboarders downgrade for tmobile users using google search. I typed in hboot downgrade htc one and like some kind of insane magic it was there! Also Added: Do not even come out with excuses that there is too many pages to read.!!! My be you right, my CID is HTC-Y13. My One has stock nordic european rom, software no. 1.29.401.16. I searched the forum, but I could not find any recovery.img for that. I read in one of the threads that recovery.img are the same, but after a few tests, I found they are not the same, because they have different sizes. I tried those Recovery.img that I found, most of them approximately go up to 15% and stuck, others stop at beginning and show the typical error sign (red trangle). I do not know, whether it is because of the recovery.img or the unlocked bootloaderDon't think this question belongs here but, did u flash the right recovery.img for your firmware?

Look HEREI'm having some trouble with S-Off. I keeping getting error code 1 after (./revone -P) Command. I'm running with SU. Could it be that I'm running on 4.3?
Nice one man. Shortcut answer to questions that could be answered by reading = link to my rant/info post. Loving that!Look HERE
With command ./revone -s 0 -u so "-s 0" means set secureflag to 0 = security off and "-u" means unlock bootloader which opposite to "-l" means lock bootloader.hi guys,
I have just bought a ONE with factory/stock rom. I have successfully S-OFF, as I used the command "./revone -s 0 -u", I guess the bootloader is also unlocked. I installed CWM and did a backup. Then I installed a Recovery.img. I restarted the phone and it started downloading the 4.2.2, but when it install, it stuck after may be 15%.
My questions are, is it because of the wrong Recovery.img? or should I lock the bootloader, so OTA to be installed succesfully? if I lock the bootloader, which command should I use, "./revone -l" or "./revone -r", do they have any special feature or it is only a flag thing, LOCKED and RELOCKED.
Just because "people" seem to miss it bumping it hope a mod can added it to the OP with big red color.OMFG!
