do you have enough of free space on internal storage? more than ~2gb?
im happy that can successfully get back to working state (lowered incremental values are working :D )
i will make 3g fw in next week, maybe it will work for you ;)
btw have you flashed hidden also? (its required - includes jb kernel etc.)

1st check the free storage!

I just installed using the hidden IMG from pre rooted 4.0.3 from condi and my only problems were described before. Oh, post installing, had one loop and entered to the Android maintaining image, you must wait to end this image to continue

Ok, works fine, was black screen after final step, when asked me to reboot, but hard reset fixed it. 2 apps crashed on update process, but I just wait for it.

Post reboot, a message said problem with the update, but was working fine. Root still working and seems faster for animations. Was a bit slow at first, but was just loading. Now bottom toolbar send with a different font and kinda pixelated, it's Xperia typical font.

Thank you again condi

Pd: I know, posting from my nexus 4 makes me a traitor :p

After flashing the rom, i did a hard reset, but this didn't fix anything. Now when booting, my xperia tab s is freezing on sony logo's. I tried to make full reset, wipe data, cache etc. through recovery but nothing happened. Now i'd like to know how to downgrade to 4.0.3 .

any ideas?

Nick.

I've downloaded this old prerooted rom for my 16gb only wifi tab.

NEW R5A WiFi only! doubleFLASH!: (will update both /system0&1 partitions)
custom_prerooted_doubleFLASH_R5A_nbx03_001-ota-121116036.zip

but when i try to flash it using recovery i get this error:

"Desklunvr update package...
E:Can't desklunvr /sdcard/customs_prerooted_"........".zip
Installation aborted"

any ideas?

is it a rom error? if positive, do you know which rom i should flash? can you send me the link? I'm searching on xda other roms, but by now the only one that i've found is le old R5A stock that doesn't work.

--- UPDATE ---

I've downloaded the stock fws from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26882762&postcount=3 both ICS and JB .

I've flashed ICS by recovery (flash operation works correctly) but after reboot it switched directly trought JB without root. ?!??!? Why??? I don't know.
by now i can't log in into recovery console.

finger crossed.

My tab is US version and I came from 4.0.3 R6B prerooted rom installed by Sony tablet flasher 2.5, the previous version of this one i suppose.

So after flashing with new flash tool option 1d the prerooted 4.1.1 rom i got black screen. After hard reset, i got my tab freezed on sony's logo.

By now i don't think there's a method to root my dev. or downgrade it.

Rec. is still not working.

With the old fw, I was unable to read the Build Number under the Info Menu. Now it say : TJS2016610 (US)

Kernel : 3.1.10 [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT ...

damn that doesnt sound good. you appear to have the same xperia tablet s as I do and I am at the 4.0.3 6b point using same sony tablet flasher 2.5 so if I try and flash I might probably end up as you. I started the op and selected 1d and downloaded the three zip files and disconnected because I was reading this board and saw your problem just in time. I not sure why this wouldnt work this time as it is just using different files for flash. Did you select to flash hidden.img last time and this time....I pretty sure you needed to flash hidden.

there is a brick thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2242683 you might be interested in.....it seems this flasher tool might not be ready for prime time....thanks for saving me trouble and if I find any help for you I will pass it on.

mhhh, I think this version is not fully working on all devices. so this is the price that we must pay for testing new fw and rom.

Is time to waiting for updates.

fingers crossed.

i think you have lost my update on the previous post...

I've downloaded stock fws from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26882762&postcount=3 both ICS and JB .

So now i can't log in into recovery console.

I think that i've done a big mistake flashing it but i think that it was the right thing to do for not using my tab as a coaster for the future.

condi, you should add warning to the front page. There seems there is already few bricked devices with the same symptoms. Can't be user error anymore, there is something which causes flashing to fail on certain situations.

1st post..

Everything you do at your own risk,
and DO NOT interrupt flashing!

?????

Or you mean with JB in general??

condi will be back soon to remedy.

Having some R&R at the moment :D

I mean JB. It seems flasher has not caused any troubles for ICS, but for JB we have more than one bricked device without any user error. I meant that there is some factor we do not understand which causes bricked devices unlike with ICS. People need to consider this when they decide whether to flash or not: ICS -> flashing will succeed unless you fail, JB -> flashing may fail even if you do everything right.
