Thanks but nevermind i found the sollution, i ve updated the tablet to JB another time, and wiped data/cache on recovery and it was okay !

Vendor apps

Any news on correctly installing the vendor apps? I flashed jb, then wiped data and installed the apps manually and now neither the remote nor the walkmann are working. I've tried some other ways as well, but it results in the same thing.

Can anyone help me install them correctly? Maybe time for a step by step tutorial, since a lot of people seem to reach the same result?

Please, provide download the ROMs, not nenuma meeting in another location. Right here in the forum found files are all encrypted.

KingRoot v4.9.6 does it ALL!!!

now on 4.0.3 release 5a I did have root before I did the update to 5a. but also I cant run AiO because my computer says a command doesnt exist. ill upload a pic soon when I get home

Hey guys, i have managed to root my Sony Tablet S (sgpt111gb/s) with the KingRoot app which you can download from the link below. You download APK on your device and install it as you would do normally and just run it and watch the show! I have to say that latest version of KingRoot DID NOT WORK with ver. 4.0.3 r5a currently installed on my tablet s but i've downloaded ''kingroot_global'' (link below) and it worked like a charm! My Sony Table S is now rooted
P.S. THIS ALSO WORKS FOR ALL OTHER ANDROID TABLETS/PHONES!

I'll check a little later I just woke up but that sounds very familiar. I think I updated to 4.1.1 though but I always keep everything. I have the sgpt12 Xperia tablet s, usa .......is that what you have? Anyway I'll check a little later and report back.

OK I checked and I have all xperia tablet s firmwares on my computer....so NO tablet s firmwares at all......sorry. I did do a little searching around because I was curious how things were going on my xts tablet and it looks like the last time I checked I only got the jellybean update and root and completely missed the jb r2 and jb r3 updates. Amazing how things go by so fast......which reminds me, I better check on my xperia z2 tablet before I get way behind on that too.

Anyway, @condi has another older tool for the older sony tablets called S.onyTablet.S [ALLinONE] http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1515720&p=22933221 and if you check that link on xda you see @condi has a google drive mirror with a bunch of firmwares, prerooted and not, so maybe something in all that will help. I did see a custom_prerooted_doubleFLASH_R5A_nbx03_001-ota-121116036.zip file that was still downloadable but it looks like it only works as long as you're not on r5/r5a....so probably not much, but there are other files there to look though that might work for you.

I don't have an answer, sorry.......but that doesn't look like something that would work either.

My experience indicates this:

-Android 4.1.1 upgrade (release3)
Only applies to models Xperia: SGPT121, SGPT122, SGPT123
-Android 4.0.3 Release 5a
Applies to models 1st generation: SGPT111US/S, basically the entire first generation, will depend on you verifying your model.

You can check here your model and see if it is a candidate:
esupport*sony*com/US/p/select-system*pl? (replace * with .)

After choosing your model, go to the News & Alerts tab and look for the "Android ™ OS update now available" link in the General Information section.
