So we are in deep sh*t....
Thx. And sorry for confusion...
Not so deep as you think :D :D
Waiting for ICS :)

also got v2.4 almost ready, thanks to Mahaco - i've implemented some checks which prevent from region.zip errors (errors only for some signle devices),
new root check which works good with SuperSU etc.
gonna make few more things and release.

ICS where are you?! ;)

Hi Condi,

please correct me if I am wrong, but from my point of view, we will need a rooted device for a manipulated ICS update.zip too.

If a user is currently not able to root his device regarding the build#10 kernel, how could change a ICS update this situation?

Please advice ....

YES, custom ICS firstable will be available only for already-rooted devices.
Of course when ICS will come - then we will have to check all the possible vulerabilities. Maybe some generic exploit will work? ;)

But all rooted tablets will have that advantage of rooted ICS
just from the beginning :)

After all, Android is just some services running on Linux and a big jar file... Sony can choose to release ICS over this bullet proof kernel build #10!
we'll see

Its a general problem I think if we need an bug to get the freedom as promised by android as it is.
Bugs must be fixed, like on iOS to defend Trojans for normal users aso.

Like I interpret condi's ;) I think there is already an exploit in build 10 or a general bug and he won't give some details in hope sony don't fix them until ICS will be released.

Let's hope so. :-D
I also hope to run ICS on my tablet by the end of May.

HI condi, really a great work :D.Why don't you put in your AIO tool the script for sd card mounting? :)
I know it's simple and with the init.d support we can add any script we want but it would be easier have everything automatized.

If I am not mistaken it already is under option 13 if I'm not mistaken.

With option 13 I have the possibility to charge on boot every script I want, but if I want sd card auto-mounting I have to create by my own the script, it's simple, but it would be easier if it will be an automatic option in AIO tool.
Then it would be nice if it's possible delete the message appear at every boot that ask to import files from sd to internal memory.

Sorry for a noobish question. I tried but got the following:
Waiting for device...
daemon not running. starting it now *
daemon started successfully *
And then it hangs... What is USB debugging?

"In dubiis non est agendum", or "In dubious cases, don't do the deed until you are ready."

Unplug USB. Go to "Settings" then "Applications", then "Development", then check the box for "USB debugging". It synchronizes your device with your computer, and prepares it for various file manipulations and other strategic key operations. Plug in USB. Now run condi's S.onyTablet.S.bat. (And don't forget to tip him a beer if you can.) ;)

The rooting process does carry some amount of risk and could lead to real frustration, just take it a little slowly at first, you'll be fine.

Look into the guide "how to root".

I had the same issue. If ADB working fine like in my case just close the aio tool, disconnect an reconnect and start again. Worked for me.

Stupid self issued things like background tasks, firewalls and so on I don't like to discuss. In this case, same tip like for the apple devices - try another pc or vm.
