Download US ICS FIRMWARE (no 3G firmware at the moment, but it will work, just without 3G),
Copy it to external SD,
Run v2.7 AiO - goto 'Custom Rom' submenu, choose 'Decrypt Update' function,
Follow AiO tool instructions,
Choose YES for add root etc.,
Choose YES for sign new custom update,
Copy update from pc directory - '_signed' to external SD,
Run 'Disable recovery signature..' function from AiO,
Follow AiO tool instructions,
After '_hack_recovery' choose 'custom_signed_update.zip',
Wait for finish
Will This work on malaysia unit ? i just have to follow that exactly ?? please help. appreciatte it a lot ~! and thx in advance ~

EDIT:

So yeah, I was up until 02.00 last night, spending 90 minutes messing about with this. This morning I've done a factory reset on my device and run the whole thing again, TWICE, only to get the same damn message:

assert failed: mount("ext4", "EMMC", "dev/block/mmcblk0p8", "/datapp")
E:Error in /sdcard/custom_update_signed.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

It's pure luck my device hasn't bricked

I'm using recovery rev.10 3e. My device has previously been rooted with no problems, running software 3.2.1 (release 2)

Kernel version: 2.6.36.3 integ-build8 #1

Build number THMAS0032400

custom_update.zip will be ~152mb - of course incorrect, because you dont have decrypted_update.zip in _decrypted/ directory in pc. It should be pulled out, just after 'decrypting', after reboot. If you dont have it, then just make copy from /sdcard2/decrypted_update.zip to pc '_decrypted'.
Then add root etc - make custom, and it will be full ota ~240mb+.
I will make some additional checks for this problem in next version.

Guys I'm working 8-10h a day, my free time is very limited, got pregnant wife, going after work to 'school of birth' etc etc ;) I'm doing all my best, please be respectful :)
Thank you Condi! Great Job! Appreciate your spirit.

I've done that (put decrypted_update.zip in _decrypted/ folder) and a new file custom_update (~233MB) was created in the same folder.
But after signing the update file I've the same previous message and the file is deleted from one folder but don't appear in "_signed" folder!

P.S. Just before creating the 233MB custom_update.zip file I've these messages:

I've recived the java error despite my win 7 64 was just running Java. I noticed that I had a 32bit version of Java so, with IE, I've downloaded the right version from official Java site.

Edit:
Sorry that isn't my error.

Condi, how am I supposed to do this ? I don't have any option to choose the decryptes_update directly from the pc-folder. At least I didn't found one...

I got the same problem with the vanishing custom_update like the others...

I hope I'm not bricked

Well, I've been trying to follow these instructions, but I'm just not having any luck. I kept getting build.incremental value errors instructing me to install a rescue backdoor. So I went to do that, and I got to the point shown in the attached picture. Now the tablet won't boot up. I get to the Sony screen for about 5-10 seconds, then it shuts back down.

What are my next steps?

Damn...update failed at the final step (flashing signed custom zip) with error message:

"E:prohibit update as a result of checking version or base sku. Installation aborted"

Pulling recovery log it indicates:

Ok...this morning I tried again, starting by deleting the hack_recovery from the SD card and PC as well as deleting all the update zip files except for the one downloaded in step 1. I repeated the steps and it worked!

I suspect that last night I was simply not giving AiO enough time and perhaps I was inadvertently interrupting the process. So folks...be patient during the process and don't be tempted to touch your tablet...in step 4 you use it once to flash the _hack_recovery.zip which fails...then use it to flash the zip file from step 1...and then don't touch your Tablet until step 9.

Thanks condi!

I could not finish one of the steps in the "ICS Tutorial" because it gave me an error about the rescue-backdoor. Then I've tried the option to install the "rescue-backdoor" and during the process the tablet is set to reboot, but as I stated it never booted up back. So, I presume it was nothing related directly to the ICS Update.
Yep, same boat. Perhaps someone can post a flashable update that can be run in recovery?
