I did a factory reset and now i have root...

Yes, with (upcoming) v2.8 you will clean all this with just a rerun of new version of Region Changer

Now I am total confused. All users repots that the lost root after factory reset. What did you do? First factory reset and then root again?

The easiest way to find the file path when ICS is released for your region will be to intercept the network traffic; e.g., wireshark, proxy, etc. The ICS update for US uses a different naming schema than previous updates -- it uses ro.sony.build.incremental instead of ro.build.version.incremental, which makes it a bit harder to guess. You could write a bit of code to scan for the file.

Yes, I've check downgrading. Easy method but one important thing.

1) Run recovery, flash 3.2.1 update,
2) When flashing it will restart about 3 times (green dots 3 steps),
on third step you need to keep pushed VOL- button to get to recovery,
3) Wipe device.
4) DONE

Wipe just after flash is very important, because if you will not gonna do this,
then it will be bootlooped into animation, after wipe will boot correctly, but after another reboot it will gonna boot again into ICS!
So if you will not gonna wipe just after flash, then just flash again 3.2.1, and recovery+wipe again

Everything seems clear, except for last sentence. Why would I need to flash again?
I mean in case of downgrading: one flash is not enough?


If I miss the wipe after flash, device will not boot into system, just bootloop, so will I be able to flash again the custom zip?
Because It was not possible to flash custom zips without a recovery hack... and to apply temporary recovery hack you need to use adb, don't you?

No, you need a pre-rooted 3.2.1 and a manipulated ICS update file to get root on ICS.
Currently there is no way to root a installed ICS.

The AIO update function on AIO 2.7 is not able to update to version 2.8
After update there is a 'NEW S.onyTablet.S v2.8.7z' file in tool folder but can't open it. (not a real issue only a hint)

It was working perfectly but then I noticed you just released AiO 2.8 so I thought on reverting my region back to ES (my device is SGPT114ES/S 16GB, 3G, Spain, nbx03_010) when running the region changer I got an error (something like unexpected "cut" at this point), I though I might have to reboot.... I think that was the error cause my device decided not to boot. It's stucked in a black screen right after the "sony" letters. I've tried to:
- Hard reset
- Flash the backup made by 2.7 AiO prior to ICS update
- Flash the Full OTA for 001 (US) and 010 (ES) regions posted at the OTAs thread at this same forum.

All of this without any success.... Both 001 and 010 OTAs are rejected due to sku problem.

Could anyone give me any advice on how to solve the problem. I'm starting to think that I may have had my /system/build.prop corrupted or something similar.

I also was unable to connect with adb... It seemed like a driver problem...

Anyway I had ben able to flash signed-nbx03_001-ota-0042.001.zip and got my device back.

I will try tu pull the file and post back as soon as I get root back

Don't need the recovery log since you were able to recover. I believe the update you flashed is build5, so you should have no problem rooting it.

It goes to 111104048, which is low enough to revert to 3.2.1.

My specs were posted earlier - Canadian Tablet S. Just upgraded to the rooted ICS. But I can't access Play Store - it FC's as soon as I enter into it. Is the fix to install the modified Play Store from AiO?
