Your tablet could be possessed by a poltergeist. Perhaps having a Catholic priest perform an exorcism will cure the problem. :D

Seriously, the problem may be related to your tablet's touch settings. Go into Settings. Select Accessibility. Select Touch & hold delay. Select Medium (Short is default).

changed it... i do hope that it fixes it cuz its really annoying ill observe it for a day thanks! Btw.. to some point i thought that my house/tablet was possed xD

I doubt the problem is being caused by the Linux kernel because many people (including myself) are running 2.6.39.4 [email protected] 5 #1 and are not experiencing the problem (to the best of my knowledge).

My recommendation now is to look for an ill-behaved app. Because you said you experienced the same problem with your Galaxy Ace phone, it is possibly an app that you have installed on both your Galaxy Ace phone and Sony tablet.

Can someone please try decrypt function with the R5 rom installed. I am not able to get it to work. Had it working multiple times with r1a.

Just wanting to know if it is me, lol.

But I think it has changed in R5 and AIO doesn't like it :(

Hi,
I used AIO to decrypt R5. No problems.
Where did you stuck?
Not to decrypt R5. When you have R5 installed to decrypt something else. Was working flawlessly on R1A. It gets stuck at the three DOTS and does not come up with Shell Enabled.

I have use AIO before to decrypt many updates, to find the region to add to my OTA Links thread.

Just strange how it is crapping out now.

UPDATE:

I have reinstalled ICS R0 and still having trouble decrypting updates. I THINK RECOVERY VERSION HAS CHANGED FOR GOOD after R5 Update :(
Adb shell is not working in recovery now, it comes up with "error: closed"

Also adb devices comes up as 0123456789ABCDEF Recovery
Which is not the normal number

Hence why decrypt etc is not working :(

Attached pic of recovery

Please please, clam down everyone, R5 is completely fine, Im currently on it and have got root working perfectly, all i had to do was Factory reset ofter the update, then just booted up, enabled debugging, and ran the Auto script by Bin4ry and it worked perfectly.

I am wondering why all this crap suddenly came about the recovery changing. BIG WOOP. Doesnt affect us in the slightest. If you have ADB problems, fix your computer drivers. Dont say its not working anymore.

Stifilz i had same problem with decrypt. I ended succed r5 decrypt root and install . Also cant go further when saw 3 dots. I delete all files created in aio tool. Copied update signed to sdcard but please place it on new folder cause it may confilct with files which aio tool creates by decryption process. And w8 . I am sure that it will work.

My tablet is working fine. Rooted using auto script on more that one occasion..... Has nothing to do with my drivers! Adb shell in recovery == DEAD. If recovery has change and shell can not run then how on earth can we preroot to keep root with updates in the future??? Because you know they WILL patch this eventually.

You mean decrypting R5 update??? Not decrypting a different update after installing R5? Could you please please try, so I know it is not me :)
I am 90% certain it has changed and will not work anymore [To be confirmed though]

Now I understand what you mean . I am afraid that you have right. Now in release 5 we have rev.36 ver of android recovery and also info sth like that BL: 0000008, master . When I am in recovery adb shell dont recognizes tablet. Seems that its blocked . PC shows device in manager but adb dont work. As a result aio tool cant now make custom decrypted. Wonder how to revert the recovery to previous and where it is ? Is it in recovery.img file?

Don't use the all_in_one 4.1. Use the 4.0 one. It is exactly what I know.

It is what I don't know exactly, but I would try it if I had your problem:
At first:
Do you have an official signed update zip and hack_recovery.zip?
If you do what error is displayed when you put the hack_recovery.zip on extSD and run recovery mode?
If there is the error 7 then you should try to use decrypt the official update zipfile by AiO.;)

I don't now how the script will start working under recovery but you should try it.
If you did it already i think you know how to do it(decrypt update file). It musts help you to flash new update to get the new build.prop:laugh:
Thank you, after a lot of hours and testing ... I have sent my tablet to Sony ... I hope all goes well ...

unable to adb from recovery in 4.0.3r5 confirmed .I am searching infos about mystery recovery attributes after r5 update ( correct me if i am wrong ). After r5 update in recovery I have info same as in picture of 1446 post of this thread . " android system recovery 3e
System utility rev.36 BL: 0x00000008 , EC: 0.73 , master . Let sb of you check if have same in eg 4.0.3r1 previous android . Sbdy who didnt update to r5 yet. It seems that bootloader has new privileges and restricted user access to some processes. . What is EC mean ? Embededd controller? I wish I was wrong and experienced good will from manufacturer whose by this change unlocked bootloader.

I have a problem with signing of custom update zip.
The problem is when I put some apps to vendor folder of custom_update.zip.
Here is log:
HTML:

What does it mean "error: java heap space"?
Maybe I put too more apps to vendor folder?

I tried to sign it without putting any aps to vendor folder and it does.

What I'm doing wrong?
