Try formating the tablet.

Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
i tried formatting the tab many times via recovery mode and by settings but still the problem persists. i even posted a thread in the general section but it seems its not getting any attention at all...

BTW can i use AIO tool to restore my tablet to the version before i installed the pre root ICS 4.0.3?

Help! AIO got close sudently

Hello,

MY tablet S is Chinese, Had Android 3.2 version kernel 10 when I bought it, I got it to upgrade to 3.2.1 then I could root and and folow tha chinese tutorial for AllinONE, everithing was going great till i got to step 7. "Decrypt Update function",

I'm in China, the first time I tried I forgot to Conect the Strong VPN, then AIO couldn't reach Google DNS..., I have been waiting for 10 min or so, but nothing hapened, then I closed the window and tried again with the VPN on, but now the problem is that after some process the window close by itself and the tablet turns off :(

After that in my SD card there is an install file but not the hack_recovery, I'm stuck here and don't know how to fix it out, any idea?

I hope someone can help me I really don't know where is the matter

Thanx in advance

Edit: this is the last screen I get before AIO get closed by itself

I have upgraded my Sony tablet S into 4.0.3 OTA update. Now I'm trying to root the device and change the region and do all the other cool stuff. How do I root it? It seems like I cannot use the ALLinONE. Can anyone help me with my situation?

Everyone nows by now to use v4.0 :)

At the same stage in 4.0 you will get three dots..., then you boot into recovery :)

Still lost?? Look at my FAQ

Hello guys, I recently got my tablet S, but I wanna know if it's possible to root my tablet using this method (I'm familiar with flashing things in my Defy :p but a little afraid about the Tablet S) it's currently running ICS 4.0.3 (release1a) Kernel 2.6.39.4 [email protected] # 1 (It came with it) and it's the brazilian version

Thank you! :p

AiO's rooting method does not work on ICS. You should use rooting method by data restore to root ICS.

Package 'com.pwn.me' is unknown

Hi!
I'm trying to root Tablet P 3.2.1 (not kernel 10)
getting Package 'com.pwn.me' is unknown

Is it timing issue? Can I adjust something in "S.onyTablet.S.bat"?
Or do I need to install something from the Market? Terminal or Debugger?(but I don't have root yet)

Thank you!

How to GO BACK - Do I need to drive 88MPH to do it?

OK...now that I have been reading in this forum for the last 2 hours...and y eyes are crossed and my brain throbbing.

I have the SONY TABLET S (non-XPERIA). I got it used/new Sept 29 (my birthday present to myself). I love it. I waited 2 weeks to take the update it kept nagging me to take to 4.0.3 (r5). NOW I REGRET I DID. Lost many of my favorite things..

I want to get it back to the 4.0.3 that was on it. I have tried everything.

I was directed to this forum and I have downloaded S.onyTablet.S__ALLinONE__v4.1.7z . I extracted to C:\ROOT_SONY and left the folders intact (Windows 7 Pro (x86)). I used an elevated CMD prompt to run the S.onyTablet.S.Bat file and following everything that I have read - started in STEP 1.

Plugged the USB cable into the table. Win7 recognizes it, and then I hit 1 on the batch menu. Told me to press ENTER to ROOT the device. Says allow 3 minutes+ to complete. I left it sitting well over 14 minutes and it never left the screen:

[*] FULLY AUTOMATIC - ROOT SHOULD TAKE ABOUT ~ 3min 10s.
[*] Press enter to root your tablet...
[*]
[*] Waiting for device...
* daemon not running. starting it now *
* daemon started successfully *

I pressed CTRL+C and ended the batch.

So then I tried to start with STEP 3.

I copied the signed-nbx03_001-ota-120803002.zip file that I downloaded form this forum to the __to_be_signed folder and nothing worked. So then I said....well it is signed already, copied it to the __signed folder. Again....nothing.

I tried renaming the file to UPDATE.ZIP and placing in the ROOT of the CD card (which is blank BTW, except for a LOST.DIR folder which SONY puts on then when it mounts the card.

Booted into the RECOVERY TOOL - told it restore UPDATE FROM SD CARD. It started the process and failed because the version on the tablet is higher than the update.zip file.

So, here I am -- hoping that someone can tell me how to use either the AIO Tool and the file for the pre-release5 to get my tablet back to the 4.0.3 version I had (don't really care about ROOT) - just want to go back, or by using some other method to accomplish the same feat.

Thanks to all in advance.
