Guys, your help would really be apprecited.

I rooted my tablet s some time ago, with v5 if I remember correctly. Since then I have come across instances where I was unable to write certain things or save certain things, it wasn't however until yesterday that I actually paid much attention. It turns out that I can't actually write any data to the sdcard partition. The option in the aio to re-enable writing to the sdcard has been run a few times but has made no difference.

Many thanks

wipe tab - full factory; if still problem remains - format sd card; reapply sd card writing via AiO.

btw yesterday i charged and used my sony tab s - first time in months :D

Thanks Condi, but isn't that for the sd card (sdcard2)? My issue is with the internal sd card (sdcard), sorry if that wasn't clear. I could do without factorying it if I can avoid it, if that is my last option I might live with it for a while and do it when I have more time.

I have tried remounting it as rewritable, but I have checked with grep and it isn't listed as read only any way, I have also tried chmoding it but the permissions don't change, I have tried this both in terminal and adb.

So how was it going with the tab s?

On another note (maybe slightly off topic, sorry), is the general consensus that us tab s owners are stuck with ICS?
And another off topic question (sorry), the reason we can't use custom roms is due to the boot loader being locked, could it be 'hacked' or is there technical/legal reasons this can't be done?

Thanks

What about YouTube login?

XTS, JB, rooted (AiO 6.2) - can't login to YouTube account.
Tap on "Login" button, see pop-up error message.
May be it as result of "modding" of Market?

Mine works fine.....but I used motochopper to root.

I did use AiO 6.2 to apply rescue backdoor and then disable update notices, but didnt touch market mod.

One thing you may want to be sure is you are logged into your google account...that may be something to do with it??

That's all I got, sorry not more definitive.....

clear data/cache of youtube and then try.
i dont think thats market problem, you can always restore original version via AiO.

3.2.1r2 is. 3.2 is not. Anyway see my signature 4 links. Then search 4 spain and download and instal ics r2a! From there you can root then use flasher to get 2 r5a.

I backupd my build.prop and with my file explorer i changed it to another device and rebooted to try and get iron man 3. It didnt work so i deleted my modified build.prop and moved my backup back into system and rebooted. Now it wont reboot. Im guessing when i moved the backup around maybe my file explorer changed the permissions or something. I DO have a rescue backdoor from this thread installed. How do i use it? Also, if i dont have to use it maybe i can just put a correct build.prop in system through cmd on my computer or something. Someone please help thx

Can you reach the boot animation?, if so then try using these commands on your PC:
adb shell
su
chmod 740 /system/build.prop
