hey guys, i treid to use this awesome tool on my old laptop running windows XP SP3. after selecting the usb debug on my sony tablet S1, there is a pop-up window on my laptop asking for mtp installation.

Could anyone please guide me the further steps to fix this issues!

just a small question, wasn't there a notice that there is also something "wrong" with the recovery, so that custom zip's cannot be flashed? just interested if this is solved by only rooting? (because i guess not) do i have to/can i reflash the recovery partition?

about recovery - unfortunatelly its one-way ticket - we can't downgrade recovery, where adb is disabled (no custom zip flashing), even with root.

you can look into flasher bat how hidden.img flashing works - it writes via dd hidden.img - but recovery can't be flashed directly. firstable it writes hidden.img, and after reboot, device verifies if the hidden.img is valid - also compares version if its newer than current, and finaly flashes. Thats why no downgrade is possible.
