Currently using S10+ LDU G975XU converted to G975U1 as mine daily driver, It can be written IMEI btw. At first, I bought it for Ebay for about $549 and it got no IMEI (0000....00) but it can be flashed with G975U and G975U1. Then, I do research online and I found out IMEI writing service in China through Taobao. The IMEI itself belong to a Galaxy S10 International (G973F) and it works so damn good until now.
S10+ Live Demo Units have network capabilities. I think.

Thank you for sharing this information with us! May I ask how much did the IMEI writing service cost you? Could you possibly refer me to them? I opened that "Taobao" website but it was all in chinese; couldn't even search for anything in English, nothing came up. I'm very glad to hear that all is working fine! Did you try to flash a new ROM or anything after the service? I'm worried that might get the IMEI removed again or something; not sure though. I didn't mean to pry on your information but I put your IMEI "in the attachment screenshot" on a website that shows the IMEI information and it's for a Samsung S10+ and that's what showed up:

Hi, I would like to say sorry that I can't find the service on my old account, it seems to be frozen right now maybe due to Taobao's policies. The service cost me around nearly $99. They used their own tool (not Z3X or Chimera) and suprisingly my phone don't get KNOX stripped, Samsung Pay, Samsung Pass is working normally. Before I got my phone's IMEI repair, I have flash G975U1 in order to get rid of Samsung Retail Mode. I have done some research on Taobao for the service on my new account but it seem like the service is down.
EDIT: I check on imei.info and it show up G973F with Green Version. After read your post, I'm suprised that it matched the model number and also the color of my device

This is why you never ever put your imei online. Its a big business selling us based imei's overseas. And yes all you need is to flash the u1 firmware for the device and buy an imei from another country. Chimera is a paid app to rewrite an imei as well as sim unlock and a bunch of other ****. The app costs money tho.
All a live demo unit is is just a phone with no imei written to the device and a custom firmware that disables all the modem functionality and some other stuff.

How about guys, I tell you, 2 days ago, I bought a sm-n975x and a sm-n985f / ds the 2 demo units, I removed the demo, I flashed them, I rooted, I bought chimera and I changed imeis, but nothing, it does not give signal , I miss the idiot with these models

Well I flashed SM-G975X with SM-G975F fw but cannot boot and stuck in download mode with message "error verifying vbmeta image invalid vbmeta header 6" Can some one guide me as what to do. I want to use this phone as media centre with dex.
I have tried different fw but all in vain. Also can someone help me understand the difference between U8 and S9 fw.

a mi también me pasa siempre al querer instalar un firmware stock la primera vez para pasar de g975x a g975f, lo vuelvo a flashear con un firmware mismo bit, anterior y me suele ir bien, un firmware anterior y si no funciona uno superior. y flasheando con archivo CSC en vez de HOMECSC

I guess your phones are at LDU flag 1. That might be the reason they are not able to catch the signals.

2Ok so this is weird(I think)
Ok so I acquired an S10 LDU and firstly to clear up any confusion, my father owns a retail store that sells mobile phones. We got in Galaxy S10 LDU’s from the network supplier that we provide in store.
I study computer science so naturally I’m intrigued by new phones and decided to have a closer look.
I wanted to test out the in Display fingerprint sensor so proceeded to flash to phone.(LDU’s prevent using screen lock features). It took some time but eventually I got the device to flash. It’s now running the stock firmware for G975F/DS. (I installed dual sim by accident but anyway.)
So this is where things get weird, it sais put in SIM so I just said why not. Then it detects the SIM card and can read the phone number of it. I proceed to checking baseband and it seems to have one(going by the software). So now I’m confused?
Is it possible that there is no baseband and it only shows it because I flashed a firmware on it(I flashed the BL, AP, CSC and the fourth one, can’t remember the name.) Seeing as one of these tar files is for the modem could it of just installed the baseband version on the device without there actually being any basebands/network capabilities on the phone?
The same way that it shows dual sims even though the phone is single sim?
OR
Did Samsung include basebands in its demo units?
Is there any concrete way I can check this without having to take the phone apart?
For anyone wondering the IMEI’s show 00000000001Can confirm that it works for the Note 10 plus. I've recently bought a Note 10 plus live demo unit for cheap, got it for around $230, no s-pen included but managed to snag one up for around $12. There are services lurking in facebook that enables mobile capability for around $70-$90 (if you got a referral) or from around $110-$150 normally. The good thing is that, they'll fix the device first before you have to pay anything. Just got mine fully working now even after flashing the latest unlocked U1 firmware. Knox isn't tripped which is great.
Apparently what they did is to generate a new imei for the phone but it doesn't work right out of the box, they made me wait an hour first since according to them, it will take an hour or so for the data to be synced to the network or something like that, even at this point, the phone can already detect a signal but doing *#0011# still shows a bunch of errors. After an hour, he connected again to my phone via a usb redirector app and proceeded to unlock the device. Its alright in my case since I'm using a rented PC and setup a VM just in case. I just flashed a new firmware afterwards just to be safe.1S10 LDU
I can repair those live demo units to full working phones with cellular capabilities. This is paid service and if you have 3 or more devices service is damn cheep. S10e, S10,S10PLUS,NOTE 10,NOTE 10PLUS

And if it is, the phone can call, collect data, update via OTA ... I saved the software that I use in my note 10 with android 9. Apparently afterwards, just add an imei with CHIMERA and it already works. If someone needs it, write to me privately.
