S10+ No Deep Sleep?

Hello guys!
I am with my new Exynos S10+ for only 4 days and noticed about the drain issue using whatsapp calls.
I updated my device to the latest firmware today (ASC8/ASCA) but I still have the issue making calls using whatsapp. My phone fails to go to deep sleep. I am checking using CPU Spy.
The only "fix" is restarting my phone.

Is it still happening with you guys? Any news about this issue?

Do you install any other apps like Battery Ring or arc lighting? Those apps could also break the deep sleep.

The ASCA firmware fixed the deep sleep I had.

how exactly you guys reporting this issue? samsung members? they dont have any bug reporting system right?

Did you do a full reset of the phone?

hi no i cannot do a full reset at this moment so never did that. but if the issue is really fixed via update then it work work without any formatting right?

No deep sleep

I have S10 from 10th of March and still even after new firmware phone won't deep sleep! I have to reset 4 times a day . I'm not using fb or WhatsApp at all! I'm disappointed with S10.

Exynos as well.

Its staggering we're still getting 5 or 6h SOT with this. Imagine the battery WITH actual deep sleep.

How did you get CPU Spy to work? When I tried it, it gave me an error saying it was made for an older Android OS and it only showed Deep Sleep and none of the other speeds.

You must have a Snapdragon model, because I got the same error. I'm pretty sure it doesn't work properly for Snapdragon for some reason.

I wanted to look into this issue on my phone but I get weird results. Can anyone please confirm if CPU Spy works properly on Snapdragon models?

I get the same on mine (snapdragon). I hope it's not something Qualcomm pressured Samsung to remove the ability to check those things..

Yeah it works for the Exynos models. So strange that it can properly read that model but not Snapdragon. It's annoying honestly.

Just updated to latest firmware today and noticed that my phone isn't going in to deep sleep! What is going on! Just tried the reset settings trick mentioned earlier too and it worked last time but now it isn't! Ffs

to me helped to enter safe mode and exit from it , i tried reset the settings few times and the phone and it didnt help.

Press on power button then press on turn off icon till you see safe mode appears

Entering safe mode then restart fixed the draining issue for me!

Download DevCheck Hardware and System Info app by flar2 from the Play Store. Flar2 used to be a recognized contributor on XDA but I'm not sure if he's still on XDA or not.

Among other things that app will show you the percentage of time your phone goes into deep sleep.

My S10+ (Snapdragon) is generally in deep sleep around 50% of the time.

If your phone never goes into deep sleep there's a problem because that isn't normal and an app or a system wake lock is preventing your phone from sleeping which drains the battery.
