S150 - Android head unit

Hi fromaron,
I'm trying to use iGO my S150 and I'm failing miserably. Could you send me a link for the iGo primo version you are using? I think I have a issue with my sys.txt file, I tryed to use the one that was posted by TvBIFI, but my iGo just don't want to start. So if you can send me the version you are using or even the web site you downloaded it, you will help me a lot.

Android Mirroring s150

Hello everyone! I want to share with you an app i found that should make possible (in theory) to mirrorlink phone with s150 trough usb. It should work but sadly i can't test it because i have an s100 and if i convert it to s150 i can't go back; so if anyone want to test it and make me know if it works would be great!

I own an S150 unit (Android 4.0.3 / Model I023) installed on a Kia Sorento 2007. Up until a few weeks ago the steering wheel controls work properly but since then nothing works anymore. In Android settings it says CanBus connect info Fail. Today I have checked the hardware connections and everything is fine. Since there is no apparent hardware issue I hope it is a software one that can be fixed. I wanted to ask you if you know of a patch or something of a sorts that can bring back steering controls. Do you think a hardware reset will help?

Ok, although setting Canbus on General and volume control and preset/seek/mode buttons work sometimes it is not a perfect setup. From time to time the buttons stop working... and minutes later without changing the app (for example music player) they start working all of a sudden. Sometimes volume buttons get mixed up meaning volume up acts as volume down and another weird thing is that cruise control is not activating some of the times. Cruise control buttons should be entirely separate from the volume buttons. So I think the general setting for Canbus does not fully work with my Kia Sorento 2007.

Unfortunatly in Bluetooth menu - ##0323 there is no option for Sorento even Kia for that matter. I have tried Hyundai and the buttons do not work in SWC. Only General seems to work. Is there any patch or file I can add so that Kia Sorento 2007 will be fully supported?

I have serched half of this topic and didn't find anwer, so ... In my car Grand Vitara i have unit S150 i think (android version) and have problem with it. It stops on Suzuki logo. Have tried to update firmwere (l053) several methods with 1,2,8 GB card, with button src pushed for 10 sec, nothing works, tried to reset it wit ON/OFF(volume) button for 10 sec, nothing... anyone can help me??

Hi,
I have an android s150 in my vw transporter and after the VW and android symbol have gone I keep getting an error message that says something along the lines of

"the application process (process android.com.media) has stopped unexpectedly".

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Hi to all.
I would like to upgrade my S150 from Android 2.3 to Android 4.
I have the proper firmware but my S150 doesn't detect it on SD card and thus i'm unable to start the upgrade.
Any advice? I've seen a different procedure using the u-boot_udsd but using Ubuntu i'm unable to use SD-Flasher.

I have winca S100 for peugeot
When i play a video it shows a message saying : please do not watch when driving.
And the screen get black but the sound still running, i tried it in garage it work fine
Is there a way to make it play videos while driving

you have to take off the cable that is for the breaksignal.
If you take it off it should be no problem.

S150 i019 blocked at boot logo.

Hi friends,
After about two years of service, my (Winca/Witson?) S150 with Android 2.3.4 decided to stop working.
I believe the system halts before passing booting Android.

This is my current system:
Model number: WD Android on SMDKV210
Android version: 2.3.4
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7
MCU version: E003
DVD version: 3227
Flash version: S00C
IAP version: 0002
Model name: i019
Build number: GRJ22.V4.06-20140301

In the beginning, it took longer and longer to go past the boot logo (car logo, Opel logo in my case) and eventually it will start, sometimes after 40 min. Nowadays Android doesn't start anymore.

This defect, coincidence or not, came with the iGo sounds not being heard anymore. iGo became mute, although I didn't change any settings and it worked before. I double checked all sounds settings in the iGo app and in the Android sound settings and all volumes are on. Anyhow, that's less important.

As I figured out so far, the order of boot operations is:
1. press power or SRC button
2. all the buttons light up
3. a low buzz noise is being heard in the speakers, noticeable only if there is silence around.
4. the car logo shows up, Opel logo in my case, stays for about 1sec
5. the Android logo shows up stays for about 2sec
6. the Home screen shows up, the Head Unit is operational.

My unit gets stuck at step 4., it doesn't seem its handing over the boot process to Android.
I tried re-flashing the Android firmware with one that I know it worked in the past - firmware I019 GRJ22.V4.04.08-20140115
The firmware flashing process went ok but it didn't make any difference.

While the unit is stuck at the car logo, some functions do work:
- Volume control, turn it all the way to max - 40 and I can hear a clear buzz in the speakers. The Android like status bar shows up as the Volume is moved up or down. The Back, Home and Menu buttons on the Android like status bar do not respond to touch input.
- Mute on, Mute off
- Eject DVD
- Power on/off button.
- Reverse camera. The reverse camera is independent of Android anyhow.

Any ideas?
