S20 FE - AT&T

I have an s20 fe (sm-g781u) that I unlocked from at&t, but the carrier software does not switch when I put in a t-mobile sim card.
The latest t-mobile rom from sammobile was installed with odin(G781USQS9GWA4_G781UOYN9GWA4), but the phone still won't switch from the at&t software.
Does anyone know a way to get the phone to switch to the other carrier software? Almost every other samsung phone I've seen, switches software as soon as you insert a new sim card. Thanks.

Try clearing Sim toolkit data then network reset.
Reboot.

Did not help unfortunately.
I'm able to get service with verizon and t-mobile, but the boot logo and carrier apps still stay as at&t.
Also 5G does not work with t-mobile for some reason.

The boot logo isn't going to change as it's part of the firmware.
Not sure why it's not working. Never had to troubleshoot that. Look at hidden settings maybe although I think the sim card should automatically configure them.

Every samsung galaxy s phone i've seen(s8 and newer) always reboots and switches the carrier apps and boot logo when you change sim cards. This fe is the first one that won't switch.
I have several other at&t s20 fe's and they all seem to do the same thing.
Verizon has their own s20 fe model(sm-g781v) so I wonder if that has something to do with it.

im actually looking into this also, plus why my verizon(sm-g781v) model will not pick up data network from my new ATT plan and SIM, but i still have talk and text

I wish I could remember. Did it about 2 or 3 years ago. It was one of the app notification settings I think. Been unable to find it again

but people mention that it occupies some operator applications.

That will depend if you don't have problems with AT&T operator services.
