S20 FE Cases and Covers

I picked up a Tech21 clear case from T-Mobile. Not really a fan, will probably return it. Has a bit of an oil slick look to it, and collects fingerprints like crazy. Oh, and it's ridiculously expensive ($40) for what you get.

Ideally I'd like a case with a clear tempered glass back and rubber side bumpers, but I got one of these to tide me over until there's a better selection available:

Its a good fit on the phone with a raised lip around the screen and camera. It also doesn't interfere with the pre applied screen protector. Arrived quickly too.

So T-Mobile's GOTO Define Case is ok. $20, it's very basic. Back is hard clear plastic and sides are TPU. There's a lip for the front glass but the back doesn't come up over the camera glass unfortunately.

The rear seam where the TPU meets the plastic isn't smooth and can be felt. No additional protection like air cusions in the corner either. Haven't used it enough to know whether there is yellowing but I'll come back and edit this post if my experience changes.

It's better than nothing right now especially clear cases without spending more $ or waiting for one to c9ke available on Amazon.

I'm surprised your phone can stand vertically. I tried this and it fell over causing the clip to break off. I put it back in but will most likely not try to stand the phone vertically again. Pretty flimsy construction imo. This case will be good for now until more are released.

I just got the silicone Samsung case ..

Bottom open
Probably going to attract lint
Slim which I love and grippy
Screen lip not much protection I do have SP coming in..

I'm waiting on the silicon case to ship. That open bottom looks weak on the Samsung case. I'm hoping Ringke or Ghostek makes a case. Looking for a clear or mostly clear case that won't yellow over time. Thanks for sharing the pics.

I hope Ringke makes the clear matte no smudhe like the one I had on the Note.. it not fully clear a small haze not to bad and kept fingerprints off...

I got this cheap case as a placeholder. It's a ripoff of the Spigen https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08H85TKQY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's not a great case, but better than a naked phone...and you don't have to feel too bad throwing away $9 for the insurance this provided in the interim before the better ones come online.
My complaint at this point would be that the volume button nubs inside the case make the side of the case bulge out a mm, so perfect it's not. I got one for my wife too. She'll probably keep her case the life of the phone because she's cheap, and it not that bad...I'm just a perfectionist.

i also got the A51 glass that was mentioned a few times. It fits with this case no problem, minimal gaps.

For the money it's actually not a bad case and prevents the camera glass getting marked or scratched.

I ordered the UAG Pathfinder. I had an UAG on my previous phone (Pixel 2 XL) and it was a tank. Loved it. The case mate tough black looks pretty good though. I like the minimalist look. Damn I wish I got that one now.

I ordered a case as part of my purchase. Won't ship until the 17th. Ordered another from eBay. Same shipping date. Crap. Decided to swing by the local T-Mobile store and found a clear plastic case for $20. Went ahead and purchased so it has some protection. It's a Go To brand.

I'm guessing Samsung didn't send dimension specs to case makers ahead of time?

I'd hate to think that case makers believe this phone will be a sales dud!

There were cases available on launch but all the major brands have sold out now. I don't think it's because case makers think the phone will be a bad seller but more to do with the phone being a bigger seller than expected in the current climate, and there simply wasn't enough stock of cases available. Even Samsung have sold out of the clear cases on their own store.
