Discuss about the S21 GCam Ports here whenever they're out
Yeah there are already google camera ports for the S20 and they will probably make it compatible or make a good config with the S21Is that the Google Camera? Being a Pixel owner the last few years I would love it if the camera app worked on the S21.

Congrats! it's a great phoneHi,
Pre-ordered the 21 Ultra yesterday, will also be looking for a working Gcam mod for this new phone.
Also I try to use Google Dialer app for S21 too!!
Is there much benefit to GCam here? Samsung's app looks good from what I've seen.
On my Oneplus 6 it was useful, as the Oneplus app lacks panorama and Googles image processing is better.
how do we get the 2 zoom lenses to work with the above gcam ?
how i put xml file in gcam?you can show me pls the way plsGot my Snapdragon S21 Ultra and here are my findings so far. It seems Gcam will freeze up more often in low light (you can unfreeze it by switching cameras, but it will freeze again after a few seconds). Telephoto camera and ultra wide are more likely to freeze because they have a smaller sensor thus less light. I've updated my XML for Wichaya's gcam that should work a little bit better.
*UPDATE* seems like setting stream configs helps stability and reduces/gets rid of freezing. Attached is updated XML.

Are you guys using the Snapdragon version ? The gcam I loaded can't take any photos at all.... Only black screen lol on exynos 2100

Alright guys, just an update on my findings. It would appear that ZGcam is actually the best Gcam build for the S21 series right now on both Exynos and Snapdragon models. For some reason I can't seem to fully disable focus tracking so autofocus in lower light can be a hit or miss. There are also differences between the models though based on what Samsung has chosen to support and what they disable.
Snapdragon S21 series: Supports all rear cameras (for the S21 Ultra, that includes both the 3x and 10x telephoto). No gcam support video on the telephotos at the moment. Front facing cameras also do not work because Samsung disabled front camera RAW for S10/S20/S21 snap series with the exception for the S10 Lite and S20 FE.
Exynos S21 series: I don't own this but based on reports, the front camera will work! However, the telephoto cameras won't, so Exynos S21 series only support the main and ultra wide cameras. Since I don't have the Exynos model, my XML for it is just the one for my Snapdragon but with the telephoto options disabled since they don't work for it.
Please post more comparison picturesin different lighting situations too
You need to first uninstall the official Samsung app that has the same package name: https://apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.samsung.android.ruler&cId=000004674180I'm unable to install the gcam app, I tried the samsung one (Ruler apk) and it won't let me install the app and just gives the message "app not install".
I'm trying to install it over the s21 ultra SD version. Is there any prerequisite that I'm missing or something ?
Can you explain how to apply the xml with exynos phone? Because with the two files here the app get stuck on black screenthat's a shame, anyway I'm still happy having a good gcam available for our device, I found that sometimes samsung's stock camera loses details and also I prefer gcam's night mode.
btw, @beserker15 thanks a lot for your XML!

Thanks a lot! Your config works fine on my s21 (not +/u) with snapdragon. Just turned off 4th cam. It looks like now there are no freezes at all.ZGCAM 7.4 https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog1340a/

Is there a way to tweak the Wichiya gcam xml so that portrait mode shows by default instead of camera? Portrait mode autofocus works well, doesn't freeze, and there is far less noise than ZGcam.
I looked into the XML keys but don't have an understanding of what keys to modify or add.
Curious regarding the same thing, I wish I knew a little more about the inner tuning of the XML. Great job getting it where it already is. Unfortunately, I still get some studdering with my S21 Ultra in mid-light sceneries. I'm keeping a good eye on the GCam Hub for updates, in hopes something will come around!
