@Sierra76 @mankvl Got mine Samsung Black leather case yesterday. No problems with type C (Samsung stock cables and Baseus cables), nice look, decent weight & size. Agree with that note about bottom cut sharpness :(

I had the Samsung leather case and there most definitely is a problem with Type C cables not fitting through the case. The problem does not exist with the Samsung cable that comes with the phone, but --DOES-- exist with other cables I have AND with the Samsung cable that came with my Galaxy S8.

I returned the Samsung case and am now using the Incipio Duo case. This case accommodates my Type C cables (barely), but has four odd ridges on the corners that are sharp and uncomfortable. I have now ordered the Mous Limitless 3.0, which should arrive next week.

From what I can make out, there's no front lip at all? Also, nothing to prevent wobbling?
Yes thats right, but ultra thin like a skin and doesnt add weight but should protect for scratches :) why do you want to place the screen down? Wobling isnt a problem for me... But everyone is different :)

Fair enough. Placing screen down just gives everyday use slightly more versatility etc. And wobbling isn't really an issue unless you tap in the upper left corner of the screen while the phone is lying flat. Again, it's just an everyday usability aspect on the occasions one might come across.

The Ringke Onyx case is very nice, however, perhaps four things I'd have changed with it:
-reduce the upper and bottom lips by ~0.5mm or so (would still give near-identical protection but make the case even lighter, feel slimmer and make it slightly easier to swipe down the notification panel)
-make the sides of the case more rigid
    -leave the buttons open
-somehow make the back/sides material slightly more grippy (although I'm not sure if it was any grippier, whether it'd be a bit too "sticky" when taking it out of the trouser pocket etc)

Anyway, I don't think such a "perfect" case exists (probably need to know a case manufacturer personally and make those specific requests!).

I have a Latercase too. I'm very disappointed by this case. I thought all sides were protected, and they are not. I'm waiting for a Pitaka case (with magnet plate inside) to replace it.

Bought few cheap cases from aliexpress. I got this fake leather/tpu (orange case) because of the color and its very slim (i like slim) but front lip and camera protection is very minimal.
The printed case is somewhat better camera protection same goes for the front. Very slim case too print quality is kinda ok. Im still waiting for some silicone cases on the mail.

    Hello all,
as promised, here are my thoughts on the cases I got and that I have not seen talked about here yet.
So today I received the "Rhinoshield Solid Suit".
Looks - I like it. It's quite simple and elegant. I chose the carbon style. To me, it is what I look for in cases.
Fit - Really good, the case is really snug on there and will not move. You have to really want the phone out.
The ports work well with all the cables I could try.
Protection - I feel confident that it offers a good protection. It's very thick (a bit much maybe, makes a huge phone really huge :D). There are raised lips on top and bottom, but they are on even level to the center of the screen on the sides. The camera array is well protected, and now the phone won't wobble so much when put on its back. A good plus in my book.
Feel - This is where I would say this is a good case, but not great. The plastic on the sides is actually quite hard and does not offer the good grip of more soft plastics. The buttons are very tactile, but don't click too loudly, so a good plus there. Also, the carbon part is quite soft, it has a good texture, that does not catch fingerprints, but I'm unsure if it's a sticker?

Overall - Good case, good protection and feel. But it's not so grippy, so minus points here. Probably a bit expensive and middle of the road in my opinion!

    See pictures attached.

Another issue I have with the Ringke Onyx case is that it makes the buttons (power, volume) click much louder than without the case. I realised I missed having the buttons uncovered (but not just for this reason).

So anyone out there, any thin case you would recommend which has very good grip and has buttons uncovered? I was using the following anccer case on my S9+, but they don't do the gravel texture anymore (which gave it decent grip):

Got my S-view cover today, it protects the phone better(than the one I've had on Note10+) because it's encasing the phone all the way around, N10+ case was open to top and the bottom sides. Made of better materials too, softer and more grippy.
Back camera window is also protected in-between the lenses, less worry while sliding the phone in and out of pockets.

You can put it face-down on a smooth surface and the screen is elevated by the corners of the case.... maybe only about 0.25mm though ... very very subtle corner lips but there is daylight under the screen

How's the grip? Does it feel a little slippery? How far can you hold it in your hand in the vertical direction before it slips out?

It's mildly grippy ... can hold it pretty far down the phone without fear of it slipping. It's got a light texture to the finish and it doesn't feel slippery / ultra smooth.... Very thin at 0.6mm so it's about as near to "naked" as you can likely get with a hard case. I like it a lot ... one of the nicer cases i've had

    Hi,
I received my Mous case yesterday, so here are my thoughts.
My first idea is that it is of very high standards of quality. It protects every side of the phone very well, with raised edges on top and bottom. I think it's also maybe not very screen protector friendly if the protector is a bit wide.
The plastic used is not too hard so it's grippy enough. Also the camera bump completely disappears, so no wobble at all. That's super nice.
Then, I have to say that it is VERY bulky, and the phone becomes huge. Is a plus in the way that it protects well, it's a negative in the way that yeah... it's less convenient. It's quite heavy as well, as I think that on top of thick materials, there are some magnets inside.
Talking of the inside, it is lined up with a kind of soft felt, which don't really matter, but still is nice, i guess.
The buttons are clicky, and a little on the noisy side.

All in all, I like it a lot but... Expensive choice!

Pics attached outside of the phone, will add some later with the phone inside :p

      Dbrand case with Naked skin.
The case is Super grippy. I love it. The skins can be readily exchanged for others.

I've just bought one of the generic cases which includes an S-Pen slot on the back. Quality is decent and, although getting the S-Pen in and out is a bit difficult due to the elastic fabric being brand new, it seems a good purchase. Got it on eBay from China for the equivelavnt of about £6 with free postage. There are some here in the UK with faster postage but the mark up is significant.

Rhinoshield Case with custom printing job.
It's the carpet pattern from "The Shining".

      Nice and sturdy case.

Mous vs Dbrand. Which is better in the looks department?

I do love Mous (might get a second one in fact ^^), but the Dbrand Grip is better overall.
It's more comfortable in hand, less heavy, and less bulky.

I took another style of sticker for the camera bump from dbrand that works better with more cases, because I did not want to fall in the same issue that you have ;(
      1
What Dbrand skin you using on the camera bump?
      Flat black?
The black matrix, which is flat, so it does not stand out so much.
But yes, the flat black would have been even better.
I'll make pictures tomorrow to show the effect with various cases and you can judge.

      EDIT:
      pictures attached.

      I've got Samsung Leather Cover

      Pros:
      - cool look
      - the phone is very firmly attached to it
      - does not enlarge the dimensions of the phone too much
      - protects the island with cameras well

      Cons:
      - it doesn't stick out too much from the screen side, so it's a bit dangerous to put the screen down
      - skin prone to scratching (damage)
      - the phone sways a little when you put its back down
      - it's hard to take it off the phone, I'm afraid that I will damage it when I will try to remove the phone from it
      - it holds in the hand on average, but still a bit better than a bare phone

      Tomorrow will try Ringke Onyx.
