1. Extract (un-rar) the firmware file (i.e. to folder C:\Odin) ***
2. Download Odin v3.14.4
3. Extract the Odin ZIP file (i.e. to folder C:\Odin)
4. Open Odin
5. Power OFF your S22 Ultra.
6. Reboot Phone in Download Mode: Connect USB-cable to your computer. Hold down "Volume up" and "Volume down" at same time. While holding down, connect the USB-cable to your phone. Or use the command "adb reboot-bootloader".
7. Wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
8. Add the firmware files to their designated slots (AP in AP, BL in BL, CP in CP, HOME_CSC in CSC). USERDATA stays EMPTY!
10. Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes for the device to automatically restart.

** You can always find the LATEST firmware in message #14 (hoping to change to Post 2 )

What is OXM Multi-CSC Firmware?

OXM is a superset that beholds numerous sub-CSCs within itself. If your Samsung device has a multi CSC firmware then you could easily change the region. With that said, the OXM Multi CSC firmware has the following CSC (the below list might be incomplete, let me know the missing CSCs and I’ll expand this list):

ACR AFG AFR ARO ATO AUT BGL BNG BRI BTC BTU CAC CAM CHO COO DBT DKR ECT EGY EON ETL EUR GLB ILO INS ITV KSA LAO LUX LYS MID MM1 MWD MYM NEE NPL ORX OXM PAK PHE PHN ROM SEB SEE SEK SER SIN SKZ SLK SMA STH THL THR TMC TPA TPH TTT TUN TUR WTL XEF XEH XEO XEU XFE XME XSG XSP XTC XXV XXU ZTO
S22 Series .png

Please confirm the correct FIRMWARE before Flashing or Using Odin. I will not be Responsible for any Errors or S22 Atomic explosions or soft and Hard BRICKS.

Before posting, Please go through thread and check forums, am sure most Questions have been asked and answered.

PLEASE note: I stand to be corrected. Still working this Letters out.

Thanks.

Hey all, SD owner of S22U.

Just to let you know, I blindly flashed AVBF with Odin with the old mentality that 'OXM' firmware is multi-CSC with another region's AVBF firmware - where my region (XSA or OPS) was still on the AVA (January) firmware. Using HOME_CSC (didn't wipe) all flashed 100% and phone working 100%. So OXM from any region appears to be multi csc and you don't have to wait till your Telco releases the update (in my case could be months before my Telco releases updates/security patches). Correct me if I'm wrong please - but again - all went well and my phone has all functionality as it did before. Now waiting for the new update AVC6 to release for the SD S22 so I can update manually again. Also, thanks to @AwesomeARC for starting this thread - was waiting for this and will be very handy :)

Hey

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking of doing the same but was not sure. Thi is my first Snapdragon device and was not sure about the OXM. Reason I created this thread.

So if I take the latest Firmware from Exynos 908B OXM region, and flash it will work just fine?

Y don't u just use the avbf firmware for the 908e and save the risk. If u look on sammobile there is quite a few to choose from. I personally use xsg which is uae. Use frija to download that. Works great

Flashing S908B on S908E will not work. Odin will fail during bootloader and if other components gets flashed before this, you will have non booted device(Soft bricked). Also no needs to mix up S908B link in OP, just stick this thread to S908E subject.

Also some suggestion for OP
You should organise OP for some Tool like Frija, Odin
  • How to get stock firmware
  • How to Flash
  • Latest available firmware for region
  • CSC included in multi CSC
  • OTA links
and much more, which helps a lot for other usesr,

Look this thread for example @henklbr was amazing person and mainainer for most Samsung flagship device, unfortunately he is no more. RIP henkblr 🙏

True... Will just stick to 908E firmware.
No, I think you guys must have misunderstood. I would still/only flash S908e firmware, but for example: I'm in Aus and there's no 'new' update for XSA (or OPS - my carrier).

I searched Samsung firmware at the time and found another region had AVBF (S908e) with March sec patch whereas mine was still showing 'no update' for my region.

This other region (can't remember which csc it was) had same lettering on the file 'XXU1OXM'. Downloaded that file and on unzip ensured CSC/Home_CSC was 'OXM'.

This suggested to me that, like the Exynos S21 I had, that the ROMs would be multi-csc for the SD version of the S22 (probably for all variants of the new range).

Flashed away with Odin and all successful. Phone updated to new software and sec patch and I don't have to wait for months before my carrier decides to push the update through.

Therefore, like the Exynos versions, you can flash SD with another S908e region's firmware so long as the files are XXU1OXM and not anything else.... Again, happy to be corrected.... :)

Just to support this, my experiences are as follows:

Flashing other regions' firmwares for the same model (ie. S908E as per the thread title), that are within the same multi-CSC (eg. OXM), should not cause any issues. You will also retain your local CSC unless you take specific actions to alter this (don't bother). You can indeed get the update sooner through this method without issue.

My experience is that this also retains KNOX and factory status. No concerns at all. You should continue to receive OTAs as they are released to your local CSC.

If you flash HOME_CSC_OXM, your data should also remain intact.

Attempting to flash a differing model firmware will fail and cause a bootloop. Don't do this. If you do, flash the correct model firmware to rectify.

Just my prior experiences, mostly from previous devices. Presumably this remains true to date.
