It took a few months til the S21 was smooth and overall great.
I had the s21 ultra since day 1 it had its own problems like heating while using the cameras etc but no Lagg or frame drops while pulling notifications panel or switching apps...while using the phone in qhd screen believe me this phone feels like £229 phone.i like Samsung alot but this exynos...... is not acceptable anymore.

Yeah be patience in 1 year you have s23 ultra 🤣🤣🤣
To be fair, the s21u was pretty rubbish when I got it and the August update which was supposed to be OneUI 3.1 really improved it.
That's not to say the same will happen with the S22u because you just can't rely on that happening. Who knows whether the S22u will get a similar performance improvement?

If Exynos is garbage for a phone over 1,000 no i would return it there's no excuse for a flagship phone to have these issues out the box, or not ever buy it, but Since I'm Snapdragon AT&T S22 Ultra 5G 512GB super fast so definitely i pay over a 1,000 cause This thing is a beast right out the box, do feel bad for those on Exynos.

S22 Ultra EXYNOS 512/12GB is the worst Samsung's flagship what I owned and I almost had all of them from S series before.
So poor UI and lagging performance I really starting to hate it. Battery performance I have to charge twice during working day! I'm not a mobile gamer at all. Hopefully Samsung will finally fix it with May update as already delayed as too many problems overall with crappy Exynos this year. On top of it 45W charging it is a joke 😡

Oddly my SwiftKey keyboard lags more than it ever did ony note 8.

Same goes for Google messages and everything that goes with it.

Has anyone found any solution as to why we have so much lag? Just typing this it's like an 1/8th of a second delay.

I'm a 1tb S22 and at a loss of what's causing the lag.

It's Samsung's OneUI 4.1 integration with Android 12. Android 12 is still a mess and OneUI 4.1 is a patchwork skin with various non native apps.

"Samsung's software is easily the worst part of the company's phones. Samsung builds decent hardware and then treats its software package like a dumping ground, piling all of Samsung's apps and software on top of Google's apps and software, then loading the phone down with ads and spam notifications. The company refuses to adopt modern Android features, and then there are bizarre features like app throttling. Samsung's phone software can make you feel like you're being pulled in different directions by the various business interests of Samsung, Google, and whichever other companies Samsung sold parts of your app drawer to. A good user experience is almost impossible in this kind of environment."

If it helps anyone bcz it did for me. Try disabling adaptive brightness on exynos version. It fixes the micro stutters during transitions. Specially while swiping for Google page and status bar.
It did work for me and I tested this for 2 days. I just wanted to be sure that it wasn't just for sometime.

I think Samsung hasn't optimised the adaptive brightness on exynos. Whenever it reaches high brightness. The transitions start to stutter badly and the phone becomes hot. It may be due to the phone is constantly processing the sensor data and as it is not optimised it somehow affects the transitions causing stutters.
Also you guys can try putting the slider on high brightness and test the transitions.

I thought the days of Samsung phones slowing down, lagging had gone but lagging galore has returned with android 12. Beast of a phone with shackles on.
TW is a lost cause.
I’ll be very reluctant to purchase another Samsung phone.
Great hardware let down by software.

Given that Android 12 (MIUI 13) on Mi 12 Pro runs smoothly, it's obviously a Samsung problem

I run some browser benchmarks my s22 ultra exynos vs my tab s7 plus sd865+ and the tab destroy the s22 ultra by far.. It is snappier over all in all apps and in the ui.. (the tab) even my note 10 plus exynos is faster in many occasions, probably better optimized.. S22 ultra is a flagship hardware with lowend optimized software..

The S22U's ram management is apparently a mess when it gets loaded up. Samsung should have addressed this before it was released. A N10+ shouldn't be able to rip it to shreds with both having equally loaded rams... bad Sammy.

Main stream fake reviews haven't touched this issue, but users have witnessed it. Remember all those glowing Fold reviews? They are falling apart at the seams now. See a pattern?

Factory resets are legit ways that could improve performance. You don't say if you ahd the EXY or SD model.

Yes a factory reset could be beneficial if you have had your phone for 2+ years, but just telling the customer to factory reset 2 minutes after they got the phone is just lazy

I Think, You should go to the Samsung store near you!
I had the same issue as him, went to the store ,,factory reset will solve your problem", so I was refused :) Never ever I'll purchase a Samsung again, they're terrible, the only good things are the camera and 3 years of Android OS Updates, otherwise, they have trash devices with poor quality control.

I think we are forgetting the basics of threads like this one:
Which exact model are you using?
    Software version, build number, etc..

That kinda helps other users see if they have similar issues on the same device or if it's limited to specific regions..

I've had my s22 ultra /DBT since this morning and I've had no lags, no app crashes no nothing. Good times :)

I got my new S22 Ultra this monday and I have been having quite a lot of problems with it.
The battery life is terrible, only around 2-3 hours of lite use. Snapchat is near unusable because it is terribly slow and laggy to use and the viewport in the app has a delay of 2-3 sec.

No software updates has come out, and no app update has fixed it.

Any suggestions of how to fix this?

It's a new phone that hasn't officially been released yet. It's running android 12 which has had numerous issues that are still being addressed. There are bound to be issues and people are looking for help and being accused of being trolls.
I joined this forum to hopefully learn some things. Wasn't expecting romper room.
Who are the real trolls here?
