Hi guys after owning the S22 Plus for a couple of weeks I pretty much got the jist that the laggy/stuttery UI is not connected to the phones performance, rather it is connected to the adaptive display and the way the phone tries to automatically lower/raise hz under different apps/circumstances.
I am using an app called Galaxy MaxHz and changed a couple of variables. I pretty much told the phone to use 120hz most of the time (I think some apps are hardcoded to use different refresh rates like the camera will always go down to 60hz), and when locking the phone the screen goes down to 24hz.

After telling the phone to use 120hz (much like my older S21 FE/S20 FE using 120hz at all times) the stutters are pretty much gone and it feels just as smooth as my older S21 FE/S20 FE phones both using Snapdragon processors. I am using the Exynos version.

So in conclusion it seems that the adaptive hz is causing a lot of stutter.

As for battery, I am not sure how this will affect things. I will keep an eye on things and report in a week or so after using it like this.

OneUI 5 is one of the culprit of a lot of performance issues. I noticed for example that apps take forever to install. Some rare lockups.

Wasn't an issue on Android 12L (for me) but do think battery has improved with 13.

Im on the Snapdragon 12GB RAM variant with Virtual Memory set to Max for reference.
Haven't experienced any issues with app loading or any other issues for that matter with One UI 5.

This is not going to be the most helpful comment but I advise against using it or at least at your own risk. I recall either my phone or tablet ended up hardlocked to that apps refresh and even it couldn't revert it.

That may be a super one off but it happens. I had to reflash with ODIN to get it working properly.

I get about 7 hours SOT with Galaxy Max Hz app using 24hz-96hz adaptive mode. And that's only from 85 to 15% battery.

I notice the lag in the Newegg app a lot especially when scrolling. Therefore, I think it's mostly the app that are not optimized to run fluidly.

I think we are forgetting the basics of threads like this one:
Which exact model are you using?
    Software version, build number, etc..

That kinda helps other users see if they have similar issues on the same device or if it's limited to specific regions..

I got my new S22 Ultra this monday and I have been having quite a lot of problems with it.
The battery life is terrible, only around 2-3 hours of lite use. Snapchat is near unusable because it is terribly slow and laggy to use and the viewport in the app has a delay of 2-3 sec.

No software updates has come out, and no app update has fixed it.

Any suggestions of how to fix this?

It's a new phone that hasn't officially been released yet. It's running android 12 which has had numerous issues that are still being addressed. There are bound to be issues and people are looking for help and being accused of being trolls.
I joined this forum to hopefully learn some things. Wasn't expecting romper room.
Who are the real trolls here?
