Just flashed this with Mobile Odin and I am able to backup onto my external SD card by default and I can now restore the backups from our unofficial CWM from before... AWESOME job guys!

Why is everyone using Mobile Odin, can't you use the desktop version of Odin to flash the recovery? And if not, where can I get Mobile Odin and is it free?

I'm not sure if you can use regular Odin. Maybe if you tar up the recovery img. I never used Odin to flash a regular img so I can't really comment on that.

And in Google Play search for Mobile Odin, no its not free

If you Google mobile Odin i believe the first link is to a version of mobile Odin that was published on xda and is free. It is called mobile Odin lite

rename the CWM Recovery to just recovery.img

In Mobile Odin go to "Select File" then select the recovery.img

I see the list of clockwork recovery downloads, but which one is the T- Mobile SGS3? I think I know, but wanted to make sure. Also, why are there 2-3 versions next to the T- Mobile link? To make it easy, someone could post the link for me... Lol. Thanks

I put mine on internal. If your using Mobile Odin it gives you a choice to browse internal and external

This version of cwm doesn't save your backups to the external sd card. Nor will it restore from the external sd card.

You may have the older version then. The version 5.8.4.7 works for me with no issues

j had 5.8.4.7 tried both odin and from rom manager app and no external for me

Do you have the touch version or the standard? I have the touch and the options are there for me

It might not be restoring because the backups were made with a different version of CWM.
