Nope.
Last night, I charged the phone to 95%, unplugged, turned to flight mode at 10:30 pm, battery was 94% at 6:30 am today.
I guess we have different issues. In my case it didn't help...
Only rebooting of device helps. And I think i know the problem of draining, SilviuMik had answered on this question.
I wish the removing of SD card works for me :)

Problem is this :

U can fix it with:
-a new motherboard made in 2014 ( not all are OK, some still drain )
- an kernel that have this patch applied
For 9190 KitKat there is none, i compiled only for I9192 and I9195
I9192 and I9190 are exactly the same code, only difference is in ramdisk, but that does not interfere .
There is an 99% chance u will void Knox to 0x1 tho :)

P.S. If u provide me with a stock boot.img from I9190 KitKat rom i can make an version for I9190 official :)
Hello!
I have two question, could please explain me that?
This issue with draining - it's totally software one, related with bad kernel code or it's hardware issue as well?
Version of your patch ( for i9192 ) fully comparable with i9190 model?
Thanks in advance!
Regards.

Found out that flashing a custom kernel makes my compass not working. Now I'm screwed... I have to use stock kernel and reboot my device every morning.

Can you guys check if with arcos kernel/vikinger/f4ktion etc. on stock fw your compass is still working?

Hi,
And how about drainage - is it gone on custom kernel?
As I see you must to restart your phone on stock one, is it because battery drain?

Yeah, it is gone.

Yes, I have to reboot daily due to drainage with stock kernel.

No one ever wrote anything about compass screwed by custom kernels on stock 4.2.2 fw, but trust me as soon as I flash a kernel the compass get stuck and doesn't calibrate anymore!! Be careful.

Thanks for your reply.
It's really good that drainage gone! :)
What I can advise to you... Try to flash 4.4.2 kitkat firmware to your phone and kernel for 4.4.2 ( you can find it in this topic as well ) perhaps this will help.

I'm a bit worried about the compass, I want to be sure that KK stock + custom kernel will not result in compass problems again. Until I get confirmation of this, I'll stick with JB and daily reboot

I'm talking about stock rom. :)

Everything stock (JB): works fine
Everything stock (JB) and CWM: works fine
Everything stock (JB), CWM and custom kernel: compass get stuck

I opened two threads regarding this issue.

I've not tested KK, but on JB I get this behaviour. Of course by "stuck" I mean impossible to calibrate too.

Sorry for the OT.

I think this is my last samsung phone, I've got tons of problems with this device:

_very low speaker problem unless you modify snd soc msm 2x
_battery drain with stock kernel
_compass not working with custom kernels (not custom roms) when no one ever wrote a line about it so I think I'm the only one with this stupid compass problem
_CRAZY battery drain and weird wakelock when battery low: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-mini/help/pm8921bmslow-wakelock-battery-low-t2846006 again, I seem alone with this problem
_since I flashed cyanogenmod months ago, NFC doesn't work anymore on stock rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2562485) and I had to modify that stupid NFC file to get it working again
_even after massive use of greenify/disable service/debloating roms/custom rom, kernels etc. I've got many lags and stuttering while scrolling EVERYWHERE and with most games/apps. I partially solved this with trickster mod and some custom settings, but on stock optimization is horrible (because a krait dual core 1.7 should perform way better. Stuttering when scrolling through messages, contacts, when playing DOODLE JUMP... really?)
_...KNOX!!!

Can't send it to Samsung because of Knox.. Can't sell it because of Knox and the other problems (especially NFC one, can't sell it if NFC is not working, I can fix it but only by rooting the device and the problem will reappear at the next update/flash wih odin).

I'm thinking about making the device completely not functional (not even boot in download mode) so they can't check Knox and (hopefully) they'll simply swap the motherboard. Can someone help me with a step by step tutorial?? :p

I have read this thread and I am facing similar issues with my i9195.

Current firmware: 4.2.2 from O2, Czech Republic, I bought this phone from Amazon, factory unlocked (Baseband version: I9195XXUBML4)

Should I move on with CWM and CyanogenMod?
Thanks.

Nobody will say what you should do, it is your decision. If you are facing problems on stock and cant fix it CM is a possibility. You could also try to update to stock KK.

My phrasing was not correct. What I meant is if it is possible that battery will improve moving to a custom ROM.
About KK stock I don't think I can find it, it should be the one released from O2 Czech provider, right?
Thanks

Yes, it is possible but keep in mind that you can get great battery life on stock with a little debloating (and greenify with root access), but don't expect S5 battery. And camera quality on custom roms is not as good as stock roms. Also, if you flash a cyanogenmod (and probably other custom roms) and then come back to stock you'll probably experience this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2562485 (happened to me too)

Go to sammobile and grab an unbranded KK firmware for GT-I9195 and flash it with Odin. It doesn't have to be an 02 fw not even a czech one :cyclops: flashing an original firmware with Odin doesn't trip Knox too.

Good luck
