Solved problem with drainage.

Hello!
I have solved my problem with battery drainage ( 2-3% per hour, ~20-25% per night ). Like it was mentioned before, it is hardware issue and can be solved by changing mainboard of the phone. I went to Samsung support in my city, and gave them my phone - after one week they gave back me my phone with new mainboard inside and drainage now is ~2-4% per night on stock kernel with stock Android 4.2.2. I'm using my phone after repairing during 5 days, will see further.
What I can advice to someone who has this problem with battery - just use your warranty if u have one or use custom kernel with drainage patch.
Peace.

Problem is this :

U can fix it with:
-a new motherboard made in 2014 ( not all are OK, some still drain )
- an kernel that have []this patch[/URL] applied
For 9190 KitKat there is none, i compiled only for I9192 and I9195
I9192 and I9190 are exactly the same code, only difference is in ramdisk, but that does not interfere .
There is an 99% chance u will void Knox to 0x1 tho :)

P.S. If u provide me with a stock boot.img from I9190 KitKat rom i can make an version for I9190 official :)
Hi,

No time sorry . It means to download the sources , apply patches , look what is different if i can merge patches from other versions, compile .. etc . To much work for a phone is not so popular and a phone i do not use. So sorry but no.
Try to use the one for I9192 maybe it should work . I am not responsabile if anything goes wrong tho

I have a strange Battery Drain Issue

I have S4 Mini Duos, 15 Months Old.. Rooted.. Running on Stock 4.4.2.. After tweaking some settings, I am able to gain 20-25% extra battery endurance. Like on moderate usage my battery drains 100% to 25% in 14-16 Hours. But, Recently, whenever my battery levels drops below 25%, it drains to 4-5% in few minutes.. If use the phone for browsing or similar use, it drains within 5 minutes to 4-5%.. 20% gone just like that.. This is happening since a month.

I have installed Greenify Donation version with Xposed Installer, Wanam Xposed, System Tuner Pro, Clean Master, AFWall+, App Ops and finally WakeLock Detector for the obvious reason. But I couldn't find anything wrong with WLD logs. Others are normal apps from Google and few social networking apps.

Is my battery Faulty or anything to do with OS or Apps?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Vorion

New modem

Hi all,

It seems that Samsung did something big in new modems for S4 mini.

I upgraded my i9192 for newest modem available (I9192XXUCNJ3) and battery can last almost two times longer then with previous modem (I9192XXUCNG2). No other changes dome, CM11 used.
If you are using display a lot of course it will not have such big impact but at least during nights this will help also.

I have also reported from my friend with i9195 that he noticed big improvement in last month but he is common user so he has no evidence what and when was exactly updated.

I do not know source of only modems for i9195.

But I think you can donwload newest firmware from SamMobile and extract the modem from there. It is the file NON-HLOS.bin inside the archive.
And this must be packed with tar again into tar.md5 file.

Hi,

I get some doubts during weekend when I manage to get only 3 days up on one charge. But today I am again up for 23 hours and 12% of battery is down. So it is promising.

Share your experience ;)

My phone typically uses 10% battery throughout the day plus 3% overnight; once it gets close to 20% it drops off more rapidly. I get 6 or 7 days use from a full charge.

It is just a phone to me. A few calls/messages at the most each day. Occasional use of Google Search or Google Maps.

I keep everything [location, data, Wi-Fi, vibration, etc, etc] turned off except for the few minutes i may explicitly use them.

I run Battery Doctor and Clean Master with all the automatic options turned off. I run the Battery Doctor optimizer after each phone use. I run Clean Master optimizer at the end of the day.

When i notice that BD closes one app i re-start the phone then that no longer happens. I do not know what is that one app that is somewhat persistent.

I have also installed CMBrowser, TWN, Banking, Smooth Calendar, iCompanion, No Wallpaper.

Using Clean Master i have disabled all of the recommended pre-installed apps except for the 8 that i may use from time to time [Calculator, Maps, etc].

And what is you modem version? If this is possible even with older ones with the new it can be even much better. Maybe :)

What's the newest modem, I have I19195XXUCNH5
It depends greatly on you particular model (country, operator).
And of course chages can be done in different time and speed for i9192 and i9195.

For me with CNG I had worse battery experience. Now with CNJ it produces the good results.

You have CNH which menas it was released one month after my old and and two months before the new one. Nothing more is known - Samsung is not publishing changelogs.

Hi,

I experience a battery drain of about 20% per night (7-8 hours) when I set my alarm. With my alarm set off, the battery goes down by 1-3%, which I believe is perfectly fine. Makes no difference if I use a stock or custom app. Did anyone else link their problem to the alarm clock?

My firmware is I9195XXUCNK1.
