Looks like the battery problems are gone, at least for me and my SGH-i257M, Canadian, Rogers. I got a full 7 days from my last charge. I used to get 2 or 3 days.

I use it as a simple phone with perhaps a few calls each day. Occasionally, but not every day, i use the internet to check weather, do a search or find a location.

Not rooted. KitKat 4.4.2

Battery Doctor with most automatic options disabled. Location, BlueTooth, MobileData and Wi-Fi are turned OFF unless i am explicitly using them. Updates only by Wi-Fi which i turn on occasionally.

I have disabled all but a few of the built-in Apps as recommended by the CleanMaster AppManager, only keeping the ones that i need.

I have a 12000 mAh PoweRocks for trips where no plug-in is available. I get 5 charges from it before it needs to be re-charged. It needs about 12 hours plugged in to recharge. So i should be good for the best part of 6 weeks away from a plug-in.

Apps: NoWallPaper, BatteryDoctor, CleanMaster, S Planner, SmoothCalendar, TWN, CMBrowser, Banking, MyRogers, TapaTalk

That's really impressive result. I can last 2 days at the latest providing that I turn flight mode on for the night. What ROM are you on? Stock?

KK 4.4.2, not rooted, stock everything. I typically get 5 days, occasionally 6. I got seven that one time. It loses 3 %age points overnight. I have not tried flight mode. I am thinking now of uninstalling BatteryDoctor and CleanMaster to see what happens.

My phone received an update several weeks ago, well after the KitKat update. I did not keep track of the date that it arrived. I feel like i am the only one in the known universe that received this. I asked about it on all of the S4 mini forums and no one even replied to my question.

Anyway, it was after this update arrived that the battery performance improved. It updated more than 170 Apps and said it was for "increased stability". That is all i recall about it.

Network mode is set to GSM/HSPA/LTE (auto connect). Mobile network type is LTE. I do not change these settings.

Like i said previously i leave virtually everything turned off unless i am specifically using it - mobile data, wi-fi, vibration, location, bluetooth, GPS, etc.

Right now i am at almost 6 days on this charge and BatteryDoctor reports 54% battery remaining.

I neglected to add what may be an important piece of info in post #1. Several weeks ago, i did not keep track of the date but it was well after the KitKat update, my phone received a large update. It updated more than 170 Apps, said it was for Increased Reliability [or something similar]. I posted a note about this on each of the S4 mini forums with no response on any of them. I feel like i am the only person in the known universe who received this update.

Since this update my phone has never dropped the network, and battery life has increased dramatically.

mobile data off is the key to 6 days battery

in my case i use for work, so cant turn it off, last only 1 and 1/2 day or 2 days max
