Just got mine used and it was scratched to sh*t. came w/ a tgsp on it even though it was scratched underneath lol didn't see the point of that so just ripped out the tgsp and waiting for either Samsung to start offering the shatter screen replacements or I get impatient and remove the shatter screen and just put a tgsp on it. My only concern (cuz I'm OCD lol) is that the shatter screen fits perfectly over the screen so once removed, the earpiece speaker and buttons are raised higher as I haven't found any tgsp that is a perfect fit to cover every nook and cranny (hope I explained that correctly lol). Illumishield's offering come the closest but I'd rather have everything covered except the earpiece speaker and the button area. I dislike having holes for the sensors and front camera unless it interferes with the functionality cuz of the dust settling in those areas.
All screen protectors are going to have the holes cutout and therefore dust and ocd feelings are going to come into play. I had the same problem when I originally bought an S7A because my ocd doesn't like screen protectors so I had to trade it for an S7 and put it in a lightweight pelican case. At the end of the day the s7's gorilla glass is plenty strong and with the pelican make it almost as protected as the s7a.

All you guys who are sooooo sure the poly carb is not removable need to Google search. It comes ff fine and you can put your own glass protector on. The screen does scratch easy but it's just a cover. Rest assured you can replace it. Samsung even offers a replacement.
Sorry, but that's just wrong. I just got off the phone with Samsung Tech Support and after getting several Tech's involved, for redundancy purposes, they all confirmed that the polycarbonate layer on top of the gorilla glass on the S7 active is not removable, replaceable, or anything else except very very easily scratchable.
They stated emphatically that the polycarbonate layer is bonded to the gorilla glass and it will not come apart without some serious destruction to the phone.
So no....the top polycarbonate layer on the S7a is not removable...so don't count on that when your s7a is all scratched up. Like everyone said on this thread, immediately after purchase put a glass screen protector on your brand new s7a, else you'll be sorry.
One other thing the Samsung Tech's mentioned is that scratches are not warranted and as of the time of this writing, the only way to replace the screens on the s7a's is by mailing them into Samsung repair. The walk-in samsung stores don't have the parts yet....and may never.
Maybe next go around the Samsung engineers will finally get it right. They were really close with the Rugby pro....they just need to implement that kind of engineering into the next active type phone......which this s7a should have been.

If you're referring to this:
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/mobile-accessories/phones/et-fg891ctebus-et-fg891ctebus/
Then look closer and read completely.....this is nothing more than a regular screen protector.
The polycarbonate layer is completely bonded to the gorilla glass on the s7a. They don't come apart under any reasonable or unreasonable circumstances.
Edit to above: Open mouth insert foot. It looks like I am most likely wrong about the removable polycarbonate layer on the s7active. After even more research and finally just reading the owners manual for the s7active on page 6 it does indeed describe the removable top layer of the screen as being replaceable. The replacement is only going to be sold by Samsung but never the less it will be available sometime in the future. Even though I would like nothing more than to keep going round and round on this issue (joking) I've spent enough time on a subject that evidently I know very little about. Maybe next time I'll get it right. Until then....
