http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-active/help/samsung-galaxy-s7-active-root-t3473649/page5

help me to update my s7 active i am still on APE7 1 may 2016 update i have unlock s7 Active and i am outside of us
none that i know of, as the updates are not .downloadable. as such...
we could potentially get them from a person who has done tethered root, and extracted ?? ..

Question from me ... is there a way to get some of the default QuickSetting buttons from the standard s7 ? the Hotspot, and Data toggle buttons namely ! (an maybe being able to remove Wifi calling button!?)
not sure why AT&T removed them ??

Install 'Good Lock' from the Galaxy app store - it will reboot, turn you notification bar a hideous purple color, and you'll then spend about 8 hours playing with "Routine" configuration changes to get it to look right. It's Sammy's way of gaining some control back over the SystemUI (Since SystemUI tuner is unavailable on these). You gain the data toggle and lose the wifi calling toggle, but you don't get the hotspot toggle back.

I googled this right after I got the phone and found something where AT&T basically blamed stupid users for accidentally toggling it on and using up tons of data, resulting in them getting very upset, overage charges, etc., so AT&T claims they removed the hotspot toggle for our own good.

spot on with the hideous purple description :) ... but yes after many hours tinkering, you can get it 95% how ya want it ! !! ...
minus Hotspot toggle, no 4Glte icon (only 4G) , and i dont seem to be able to get the widgets on lock screen, or themed unlock pad, and occasionally the pull down dont fully pull down?bug?
other than that made the S7Active pretty much spot on now :) Thankyous :) .... definatly worth having thou, as im sure these will get ironed out with updates (that i can actually get! unlike firmware!)

cheers Again :) ...

Which Seidio case did you have? Surface or Dilex

I wish I had the type of skills for software development but I have none. What I can contribute is some experience with accessories I've tried and general use type of feedback.

I've bought a couple of cases for circumstances that warrant additional protection even though I usually carry the phone without one. I have the Otterbox Defender and I also bought a Bodyguardz case. I had a Zagg Glass protector installed and it works perfectly. Also, the naked s7 active fits perfectly in my old Seidio holster for my cased s5 and my old Note 4 holster fits perfectly on my s7 Active when I have it in the Bodyguardz case.

I am looking to get a holster that fits my naked S7 Active. You said that your old Seidio holster for your s5 fit perfectly. I was curious if you had a Surface or Dilex case.

We would love to offer chances for S7 active users to review our S7 active 8500mah battery case,it will be available at the end of this month. Offering your profile link to our review team: [email protected]
This is both exciting and unexpected! Great to see some support for the Active from peripheral manufacturers. In spite of the already enormous battery, an 8500mah battery case would allow me to enable full GPS navigation services on a 5 day hike or camping trip or play movies continuously for my toddler on the 26 hour road trip we are about to embark on.

I owned a zerolemon battery case for my S5 just before I sold the phone and it made for a great rugged-case as well as the extra battery.

How were you able to disable it? I've been on mobile data all day as well to keep the update from downloading. I have a disable button but it's grayed out and can't be pressed. I want to stay on PK2 until I can root tomorrow.

I used Titanium to freeze it. Unfortunately you need to be rooted.
