Will flash later tonight for testing, fyi to all you will need to Odin back to ara1 to apply this update, I have provided a mirror for the Odin files in that thread.
I'm not sure anyone has tried that, I do know the 892u has a different radio, if you can get to ara1 om the u fw, it might work, but your on your ownDoes anyone know if this would be like the S8 Oreo update and switch the AT&T Active to T-Mobile with the T-Mo sim in?
I've flashed every ota leaked. 0 issues to report from any of them. Attached are screenshots for the current build. Are those updates stable? Be is there any bug list?
I'm currently on a T-Mobile Note 8 with Oreo, but was thinking about selling it and going to an Active. The AT&T versions can be had for cheaper than the T-Mobile ones on Swappa so I was curious if it would be as simple as swapping sims. On my Note 8 with Oreo, when I put in an AT&T sim, it says that I need to reboot to make it an AT&T Note 8 with their bloat and apps. Was just curious if Oreo would make it that easy on the Active.I'm not sure anyone has tried that, I do know the 892u has a different radio, if you can get to ara1 om the u fw, it might work, but your on your own
The note 8 is a different scenario, just like the s8/+ they are the same physical devices, and the sim defines the carrier, the active has different hardware, I'm not sure anyone has tried this yet. I can ask my buddy with tmobile to see what happens if I put his sim in my phone but don't wait on me, I have no idea when I'll have time to do thatI'm currently on a T-Mobile Note 8 with Oreo, but was thinking about selling it and going to an Active. Ah okay. I didn't realize the Actives had different hardware between the 3. I was hoping they were like the S8 all the same, just different firmware.
