S8+ camera failed! HELP PLEASE

So I have a SM-G955F & I did a factory data reset & after that my camera won't work it says camera Failed

What is going on How do I fix this?
Please help you guys!

Try and reflash your firmware with odin...

Beyond that if it doesnt work try a custom rom.

If thats a no go it could be a hardware issue i spose.

Nope.

For odin flash just download the correct firmware unzip it and flash.


For a custom rom you will need twrp to flash it as they are flashed as zip files.

Im wondering though if doing either may be beyond your current evel of knowledge based on your question about root. Best to read up on both if I were you.

You are suggesting that a user tries a custom rom to troubleshoot? This will void the user's warranty. What is the point?

@OP, only flash official firmware using Smart Switch, click emergency software initialization and then click device initialization.
If issue persists, send the phone to Samsung for warranty repairs.

Its XDA....you know a developers site. warranty is the last thing to worry about and if your concerned about it you might be in the wrong place

    Had this issue a while ago. Clearing data and cache of the camera app solved it for me.
