Wonder if the people that held onto their Note 7s can exchange their phone for an S8+?

I guess it depends on the carrier but as far as I know you need to send back it to Samsung to get your refund.

I called Samsung. They said no. But technically the S8 isn't even out yet. I'll call again maybe a month from now.
I think the Note 7 is better so I don't know why I would even consider trading. Dont think I would actually do it. I just like getting new phones.

I wouldnt trade, even tho S8 look sweet i would but! My N7 was blocked by networks so its just sitting as a night watch for months. If i could i trade. I would love to use it but unfortunately its blocked,

Shoot, I'm still rocking it my shiny N7, no pond intended. Got my fingers crossed waiting for the s8+.
What carrier blocked it? I don't think US carriers blocked it. Mine is running strong no problems.
S8 has an extra 30 min battery life vs n7 per Tom's guide. I'm always for longer battery life. But...no stylus. No front fingerprint reader. No physical home button. Note 7 still rules!

I spoke with my friend that works with att and she told me I can exchange it for the S8 that's coming out later this week. Get refunded the amount I paid on the note 7 then start another payment plan for the new phone.

Most if not all canadian carriers blocked the n7. Some somehow are still working tho. Including my second note 7 which my gf has.

They did give me an S7 edge though but i also bought the S8 plus anyway.
The due date to return the note 7 is well past but the amount of money i spend per year with rogers convinced them to overlook that.

If the note 7 was unlocked way back before they killed the ability to unlock it will still work...i have no idea why but I've come across a few ppl that have working phones still and they were all unlocked .
If they werent going to re sell these i would have bought one by now lol.

I have not placed an order for s8. Lord knows how hard it is for me with my G3 right now but ill wait for Note8. Ill call fido and freedom tomorrow. See if they will take N7 for S8 =) if not then thats ok. If Freedom takes it then they also win my business and ill switch from fido.
Exchanged my girlfriends Note7 for a S8+ Saturday. Sprint refunded every payment made on that line. I'm still rocking 100% Note7
