Got is to install on my at&t note 8 thanks to adb. I used the latest apk from apk mirrior. Maybe adb will work on oreo crc3 have not tried.

The update apps won't stick they revert back after reboot. How to make them stick.
That sucks. I really like the new messages app. Why won't samsung keep there apps updated?

Just flash to latest nougat on Odin install new messages then update to oreo it will remain after the update i'm using it now

How did you get it to stay. I tried this as you suggested but when I upgraded to oreo it overwrote the the blue messages with the orange one.
Ah makes sense. OTA not available in my country yet so have to wait. Thanks for the input mate.

Yes you can odin back as long as it uses the same bootloader
Does not stick on at&t note 8 ota update reverts back to 4.4 orange messages.
It works on the last version of Oreo CRC7, it works with the last version of messages from apk mirror

Finally it does! Im running the CRC5 build of Oreo and it installed with no issues and works great. Also, the latest Samsung Home Experience apk on there, as well as, the latest Always On Display apk, both installed for me on the build I am running

I installed the Samsung S9 messages apk on my tmobile note 8 running oreo (crc2 shipped) and I keep getting duplicate text messages. Anyone else having this problem or solve it?
Some have the same problem and some don't.
In my case it is working perfect on my s8
It's driving me crazy. It seems like it's only when I receive a message from a T-Mobile android device it happens. Doesn't happen when recieving a text from iPhones or anyone on any other network
If it's driving you crazy, you should revert back.
