Trying to ODIN U1 CSAA on my Sm-G960U running CSC3, Which I was running before but went back to CSC3, but now I'm getting an error message in ODIN, tried 2 different computers and downloaded the file a few times, same error. Any Ideas?

Figured it out, Apparently I wasn't paying attention to the bootloader, When I went to CSC3, its a ver 4 boot.

Far as I know there is no way of going back from ver 4, Haven't looked into it much, but I downloaded 4CSC7 using the Frija app. and Odined with that.

Can someone help please ?
I have G965W that was flashed to G965U to get early access to beta. Since then I flashed it to the final version so now I'm on
G965USQU3CSAB/G965UOYN3CSAB/G965USQU3CSAB
How can I flash it back to G965W? I downloaded the Canadian FW but flashing via ODIN failed and the phone wouldn't even boot
The reason I like to flash back is I'm not getting OTA updates :(

I used PATCHED Odin to Flash the Canadian SM-G965W Firmware - I also Factory Reset before Flashing the Canadian One UI Firmware - Someone else posted that they had a problem because of the Bootloader versions - Just make sure that you are NOT trying to Flash backwards to an older Bootloader version & you NEED to use PATCHED Odin ?

Thanks for reply !
yes, I used patched ODIN but did not factory reset first.
How do I check/compare the bootloader versions?
Can I just leave out the BL, and flash only the rest?
This is my current BL BL_G965USQU3CSAB_CL15119402_QB21561315_REV01_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
and this is from the W package BL_G965WVLS3CSAG_CL15119402_QB21795574_REV01_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar

The number "3" just before the CSAB/CSAG is the Bootloader version number - You can't go to a lower Bootloader version number than 3 in this case - So it's NOT a Bootloader issue since both are the same version & I would always Flash the full Firmware.
Factory Reset First (Backup or move whatever you want or need to your external sd card or computer BEFORE you Factory Reset) ?

Thanks for the explanation!
Everything works fine, just not the OTA updates, so I'm hesitant to reset since it would take for ever to set it up again :(
Any idea why the OTA is not working?
I found new version using the FW downloader (SM-G965U_1_20190319143714_gymihhae0t_fac), so I presume there should be OTA available.

Did you Flash the Canadian CSC & CP?
It should be able to check for OTAs once you have done this...
Yeah I know that a Factory Reset can be a pita - But surprisingly it doesn't take as long as you might think - Smart Switch is actually pretty good for Restoring your settings AND I've been Flashing Custom Roms for the past 10 years! So Stock Unrooted Samsung Firmware is just something we have to learn to live with.... ?

No, I did not  ...so I can only grab the CSC and CP from the Canadian package and flash that using odin over the existing?
My problem is I got bunch of cameras, drones, Android wear, all this would have to be set up again. I don't think Smart Switch will take care of that.

If you want OTAs to work then yes you have to Flash the Canadian CSC & CP - Try with Regular Odin 3.13.1 & if it fails to Flash then use the Patched Odin...
As for Smart Switch... maybe not - But I was surprised that Smart Switch worked for my Tasker settings - I do have a bunch of other apps that need adb commands which Smart Switch doesn't work on - So I have to repeat adb commands for those as well as for the Mobile Data & Hot Spot Toggles - Anyway it's up to you to decide if you want to Factory Reset - If you experience crap battery life then you probably should ?

The one that is currently installed on the device SM-G965U_1_20190116135214_7f2yyqx9u8_fac ( there is newer version SM-G965U_1_20190319143714_gymihhae0t_fac but didn't try it yet)
When trying to flash the canadian CP and HOME-CSC I used only those I did not ad the BL and AP from SM-G965U_1_20190116135214_7f2yyqx9u8_fac package
Same way when fixing it back, I took only the CP and HOME-CSC from the SM-G965U_1_20190116135214_7f2yyqx9u8_fac
It flashed fine

I'm trying to update my AT&T SM-G965U (though my carrier is Google Fi) to Android Pie. Both OTA and Smart Switch update options claim my phone is fully up to date even though it is running build BRK1. I tried updating via Micro SD in recovery mode with the zip file provided by firmware.science (firmware update to build CSA5) when I entered my phone's model and build, but it was aborted due to "unexpected contents". I transcribed the error below.

E3005: "EMMC://dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/modem:83300864:2d921fc2a30290a4f894ef4e5528ab83263 913ec:84005376: 12c0577b202561c4a0732793bdbaf3a04eca67f0" has unexpected contents.
E:Error in /sideload/package.zip (Status 7)
Installation Aborted.#1

Any idea what's going on?
Is there any other way I could update my phone to Pie?

Edit: I managed to find the ODIN update firmware and successfully update to Pie. Disregard this post.

Hey guys, I went to CSA7 months ago before the official build came out for my sm-g965w. Is it possible to go back to stock from this? I'm racking my head trying to figure this out. I've odin'd idk how many files with no luck. Do I go back to brk2 first? Then flash whatever? Any help would be awesome! Thanks!
So when I had some more time on my hands, I have tried everything else that I know.. I finally managed to get an error that says the serial (com) port not working. Any further ideas?? Thanks again!

I am using original Samsung cable, have tried every one of the 6 usb 2.0 ports on my desktop, deleted Samsung firmware and drivers. Reinstalled Samsung s9 drivers, still nothing..
