So when I had some more time on my hands, I have tried everything else that I know.. I finally managed to get an error that says the serial (com) port not working. Any further ideas?? Thanks again!

I am using original Samsung cable, have tried every one of the 6 usb 2.0 ports on my desktop, deleted Samsung firmware and drivers. Reinstalled Samsung s9 drivers, still nothing..
Are you & have you always had the "com" port error? Have you also uninstalled (probably from the sounds of it) uninstalled Odin (Patched version is required to go from US Firmware to Canadian firmware) - A different computer or laptop available? Makes no sense.... I've never had any problems switching from the US One UI beta back to Canada....

It's happening with any firmware I use tbh. I will try uninstalling all Odin versions as I have the patched, the consey and regular Odin currently. I will uninstall all and try it again.. :good:

Idk if it matters or changes things but I changed my CSC when I updated to beta pie before and so I have a baseband of G965WVLU3ARJ5 and my build # is G965USQU3CSA7. Does that make a difference?

No because I was always Flashing the Canadian CSC & CP after Flashing the One UI beta so that WiFi Calling & VoLTE would work.
Like I said before - I ALWAYS Factory Reset BEFORE & AFTER Flashing the One UI beta & BEFORE & AFTER Flashing back to the Stock Canadian One UI Firmware & I Flashed multiple versions of the US One UI beta... I don't remember - Did you Factory Reset EVER?
fwiw - I also ALWAYS removed both the SIM & sd card when Flashing with Odin... ?

I have not yet due to the fact that I thought I'd try everything else beforehand as I thought that was the smallest factor and a lot of work. I will try that now since I seem at my last option. Wish me luck!

I did not mean beta, I meant leaks of unreleased updates for example... It's been 6 weeks since the last update...
Don't think that's going to happen... From what I've heard there's also been an issue with getting leaks - Not to mention that there's likely far less interest in getting leaks since it's Official ?

Anyone else on verizon get "chat settings" in messages in the latest CSEB update?
New Feature for Verizon, they finally caught up with AT&T and TMOBILE.

Not gonna happen servers where we pull the leaks are blocked for months, so no more leaks, like it use to be.

So I've noticed that since Pie officially dropped that there seems to be a discrepancy between the U and U1 firmware. At first I thought it was just a bug in one particular release but it's been consistent for months.

When I use the U firmware I get much higher battery drain than when I'm on U1. I clean flash either direction but it is consistently worse. And according to battery stats it's always Android System that is causing it. For instance last week while on U I was getting Android system using 20+% of my battery in the course of the day, often causing me to have to plug in before I got home. I switched back over to U1 and I'm only at 6% usage on Android System. Is anyone else seeing this?

That's to be expected. The u1 firmware does not have any of the carrier bloatware that cause battery drain which is why it is generally preferred.

I would be inclined to agree with you but I didn't have this issue on U Oreo. I've always had great battery life. Also I would expect the bloatware to show usage if it was the cause but it's always the Android System process that pulls the excess battery.
